Let's play hardball; the rule of law demands consequences for ignoring lawbreaking
4/2206

Posted on 04/22/2006 3:16:03 PM PDT by Liz

It's time to play hard ball. Our lawmakers seem to have forgotten that there are real consequences for ignoring lawbreaking. Lawmakers will get this done or taxpayers will know the reason why. The rule of law demands serious consequences for ignoring lawbreaking. Now is the time for law-abiding citizenry of America notify the US Dept of Justice, that many of our "so-called lawmakers"---who are under oath---are ignoring our laws, and are aiding and abetting the illegal activities of aliens on US soil. Disregarding the committing of crimes is a crime in itself.

PARTIAL LIST OF IMMIGRANTS' FEDERAL CRIMINAL FELONIES

1 - Use of illegal ID or documents
2 - Federal income tax evasion
3 - Re-entry into USA after deportation
4 - Obtain/Operate vehicles with illegal ID
5 - ID theft/fraud - Social Security fraud
6 - Knowingly gaining employment fraudulently
7 - Recruiting other illegal aliens workers
8 - Transporting illegal aliens
9 - Harboring &/or housing illegal aliens
10 - Undermining US national security
11 - Registering/Voting using fraudulent documentation
12 - Conspiracy to violate federal statutes
13 - Uttering false statements to public officials
14 - Obstructing law enforcement

FREEPER ACTIVISM: If duly elected officials, under oath, are encouraging ILLEGALS to break the law, to obtain the unlawful right to vote, and obtain unauthorized government benefits using fraudulent documentation, and if elected and appointed officials did, in fact, allow illegals to break the law to serve on municipal councils, and if illegals are making monetary (taxing) decisions for U.S. Citizens, this might be a violation of the Hobbs Act. If elected officials took campaign contributions from said illegals, this could be characterized as extortion, and/or bribery, and a violation of the Hobbs Act.

The Hobbs Act was used recently to nail four TENN state legislators and their aides in an extortion scheme. The TENN groups was arrested under the federal Hobbs Act, charging extortion, conspiracy to extort and attempted extortion, and accepting bribes as an agent of the state. The Hobbs Act covers extortion by public officials, as follows: 2403 Hobbs Act -- Extortion By Force, Violence, or Fear

SOURCE October 1997 Criminal Resource Manual 2403 http://www.usdoj.gov/usao/eousa/foia_reading_room/usam/title9/crm02403.htm

9-131.000 THE HOBBS ACT -- 18 U.S.C. § 1951
9-131.020 Investigative and Supervisory Jurisdiction

Primary investigative jurisdiction of offenses in 18 U.S.C. § 1951 lies with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The Inspector General's Office of Investigations, Division of Labor Racketeering (formerly the Office of Labor Racketeering), United States Department of Labor, is also authorized to investigate violations of 18 U.S.C. § 1951 in labor-management disputes involving the extortion of property from employers by reason of authority conferred on investigators as Special Deputy United States Marshals. Supervisory jurisdiction over 18 U.S.C. § 1951 is exercised by the following offices with respect to the offenses noted:

1. Extortion under color of official right or extortion by a public official through misuse of his/her office is supervised by the Public Integrity Section, Criminal Division.

2. Extortion and robbery in labor-management disputes is supervised by the Labor-Management Unit of the Organized Crime and Racketeering Section, Criminal Division.

3. All other extortion and robbery offenses not involving public officials or labor-management disputes are supervised by the Terrorism and Violent Crimes

FREEPER ACTIVISM: We demand that the DOJ enforce the laws, and prosecute anyone who aids and abets illegal activities, including legislators who ignore rampant lawbreaking.

You know...like Rush and Sean always say..."Vote them out!"......BWAHAHAHAHA!....yeah, that's the ticket.....I'm gonna vote all the bastidges out!...HAHAHAHA!

The problem will be solved when the gubbmint purse strings are shut tight.

Oh wait, if no one pays their taxes, the gubbmint will cease to function.........uhmm, no, that's not right...uhmm...they'll just print some more money and give it to themselves.

Oh yeah, I forgot. There is no money. Just fiat.

Question:

If no one payed their taxes, would this country cease to exist?

Just a question.

Think about it.

No way will Americans stand still for this outrage----an American loses his job so some moron from Mexico can screw US taxpayers. This will end. Count on it.

How so? What? We citizen taxpayers are going to mow down the illegals? (KeyWord/Taxpayers)

This country and Republic became free for fighting against taxes (among other things) dictated by a King far across the Atlantic.. Well, the King(s), (as in congress) is back.

Remember to VOTE!...for the new or old kings.

FREEPER ACTIVISM: Contact your legislators; demand the IRS, and Social Security admins release info on illegal aliens.

FREEPER REFERENCE: IRS, Social Security Administration could slow illegal immigration

EXCERPT Knight Ridder Newspapers

WASHINGTON - Two federal agencies are refusing to turn over a mountain of evidence that investigators could use to indict the nation's burgeoning workforce of illegal immigrants and the firms that employ them.

Last week, immigration cops trumpeted the arrests of nearly 1,200 illegal workers in a massive sting on a single company, but they admit that they relied on old-fashioned confidential informants and an unsolicited tip to get their investigation going. It didn't have to be that hard.

The IRS and the Social Security Administration routinely collect strong evidence of potential workplace crimes, including names and addresses of millions of people who are using bogus Social Security numbers, their wage records and the identities of the bosses who knowingly hire them. But they keep those facts secret.

"If the government bothered to look, it could find abundant evidence of illegal aliens gaming our system and the unscrupulous employers who are aiding and abetting them," said Rep. J.D. Hayworth, R-Ariz. The two agencies don't analyze their data to root out likely immigration fraud - and they won't share their millions of records so that law enforcement agencies can do that, either.

Privacy laws, they say, prohibit them from sharing their files with anyone, except in rare criminal investigations. But the agencies don't even use the power they have. The IRS doesn't fine even the most egregious employers who repeatedly submit inaccurate data about their workers. Social Security does virtually nothing to alert citizens whose Social Security numbers are being used by others.

Evidence abounds within their files, according to an analysis by Knight Ridder Newspapers and The Charlotte Observer. One internal study found that a restaurant company had submitted 4,100 duplicate Social Security numbers for workers. Other firms submit inaccurate names or numbers reports for nearly all of their employees. One child's Social Security number was used 742 times by workers in 42 states.

"That's the kind of evidence we want," says Paul Charlton, the U.S. attorney in Arizona. He regularly prosecutes unauthorized workers, but says it's hard to prove employers are involved in the crime. "Anything that suggests they had knowledge . . . is a good starting point. If you see the same Social Security number a thousand times, it's kind of hard for them to argue they didn't know."

I'll lay you 10 to 1 odds that this is referenced to McDonalds.

Score one for us!!!

A gigantic BTTT for the The John and Ken Show

"Call them during the Easter break and tell them NO AMNESTY!," Web site -have evidence of illegal immigration?

# 1 Hatch aide bombarded with anti-amnesty calls L.A. talk-show hosts urged listeners to express their views - WASHINGTON — Hosts of a Los Angeles radio talk show listed a link to Sen. Orrin Hatch's press secretary's phone number on their Web site for their listeners to call to express views on the pending immigration bill now under consideration in the Senate. Hatch's spokesman Peter Carr is used to fielding a lot of phone calls in one day from reporters looking for information about the senator or Utah, but so far he has received at least 70 calls from California residents wanting to make sure the senator does not support any bill that would allow amnesty for illegal residents.

Law enforcement is a trendy issue; currently it seems to authorities that a priority crime can only involve drunk driving, minorities, homosexuals, women, single mothers or tax evasion.

Now, let's see. Who could possibly be behind the blockage of this scenario?? The answer is just too easy.

Politicizing law enforcement is an even worse idea.

Wow! Great post (19).

We've got a few DA's kicking around who might just have the connections to press charges.

PARTIAL LIST OF IMMIGRANTS' FEDERAL CRIMINAL FELONIES...

They are NOT "immigrants" they are "illegals". A bank robber and a person who cashed a check both walk out with money, but they're not the same. A gang member cutting an innocent is different from a doctor operating on a patient. AND ILLEGALS ARE NOT "IMMIGRANTS".

from the top post:
"If elected officials took campaign contributions from said illegals,
this could be characterized as extortion, and/or bribery, and a violation
of the Hobbs Act."

Actually, what it's about is pushing for prosecution IF a "quid pro quo"
can be found.
And even though it has probably happened, it would be hard to prove legally.

BUT, letting the public know it's going on is probably sufficient to
at least partially put the brakes on such practices.

Besides, when tax $$$ are used to prop up the infrastructure to
keep the Illegals fat and happy, that's good enough as theft from
the legal, tax-paying citizens, IMHO.

I had to smile at Dick Morris's suggestion on O'Reilly the other night. He suggested that Visa or Mastercard be put in charge of the SS numbering program. Their systems don't allow for duplicate numbers, and they track them don when they find them.

Would the demonstration on May 1st fall under the Hobbs Act. Because the demonstrators have threatened to "shut down all the ports, railways and airports" doesn't that fall under "Interference of Commerce by Extortion..."unlawfully obstruct, delay and affect, and attempt to obstruct, delay and affect, commerce as that term is defined in Title 18, United States Code, Section 1951, and the movement of articles and commodities in such commerce, by extortion, as that term is defined in Title 18, United States Code, Section 1951, in that the defendant did obtain and attempt to obtain (tangible or intangible property) the property of (victim with connection to commerce) with his/her consent having been induced by the wrongful use of actual and threatened force, violence and fear, [including fear of economic harm,] in that the defendant did (describe defendant's wrongful use of force, violence or fear)".
