Wesley Clark ran out of reliable intelligence before he ran out of smart bombs. That's how the US ended up bombing the Chinese embassy in the Baltic.
That's one thing the media won't bring up, because they like the guy. Kind of like Senator McCain being one of the Keating 5.

I actually think this is close to the same treatment that President Lincoln had but on a proportional scale.Educate me. Did the generals campaign against Lincoln's reelection? Did they call for the resignation of the Secretary of War or the President? I know that there were "political generals" appointed by the President and that in some cases had little or no background in military matters, but rather were professional politicians.

Great job last week Morgan, keep it up even if it is part time this week. Those Generals that are running their mouths now are part of the problem why we have to be in this war on terror. They could have fixed this a long time ago and did not. They were mostly Clinton lackeys, and did not have the guts to do the right thing then. They also did not say one thing against the plans for Afghanistan and Iraq and now that they are out, and have no say they start casting aspersions. Some of them are also obviously looking for a spot in a what they hope will be a Democrat Administration. They feel they will be rewarded for their treachery. UGH!

Yup. There'll be married priests long before the Church considers women as a continuum of the Apostles.
People need to understand that the Catholic Church considers bishops as the continuation of the Apostles. They have in their bishops an unbroken lineage going back to St Peter and his apostolic bretheren. WWJD in regards to his apostles? Well, consider who Jesus actually chose....

There is a big difference between democrats invading Haiti...and winning a war in Afghanistan and Iraq.Great post Morgan, you really get right to it as usual.
I love the part about invading Haiti,ROFLMAO!

That's how the US ended up bombing the Chinese embassy in the Baltic.I heard it differently-that there was a stealth "expert" at the Embassy, who was tracking the F-117s and reporting them to the Serbs. The "accidental bombing" was a silencing measure. Of couurse, that would be a radical departure from the militarily spineless Clinton, and too machiavellian and smart for the likes of Clark, so the story remains suspect..

He had a couple of generals who made a habit of trashing him to the press early on, and I can't remember whether it was his Secretary of War or his Secretary of State who joined them...but later came around to support Lincoln. This was smack in the middle of the civil war.
To: cardinal4
The story I remember hearing is that the reason the building was bombed is that a resistance group used to be in the building, but had moved out years before and the Chinese had moved in. Nobody updated the list, and ...BAM.
And it sounds more likely to me than the Clinton administration doing anything to alienate a potential campaign donor.
