Thanks :0)
I agree completely. Please read post 378.
Okay, I feel bad now....I didn't mean to say that I didn't think Harris was smart...but, I guess I did.
I just wonder how politically smart she is being---and I am genuinely asking, because I don't know..
All I know is that I keep reading story after story about the RNC wanting her to drop out..and yet, from what I have seen, they have no viable alternative...
So, color me confused.
YOU ROCK!
We soooo love and adore you!
you have our utmost respect and gratitude!!
ALWAYS!
There is a list of names that have been mentioned instead of her a mile long but so far no one has really stepped up to the plate with her kind of energy and resources.
Recently she had a crowd of some 15,000 on the West Coast of Tampa at one of her appearances on the campaign trail, either St. Pete or Tampa I don't recall, so she has support but definitely could use a lot more.
The rumor mill is in high gear about other pubbies that want to run, but why the heck all this wasn't sorted out two years ago is beyond me.
In IE I got the "not on this server" error. In Firefox it would open whatever page it was clicked from. So if I clicked on it from the main thread I went back to the top of the main thread. If I was in the 'replies' stuff it would reopen the replies stuff. The link seemed to change with each view. I'd kind of like to find out how that works. It might be useful someday <g>.
You have been added to the ping list. Thank you for the compliment.
What we are witnessing now is unprecedented. Where were the disgruntled generals during the Clinton administration? How were they covered by the MSM?
@@@@@
The Prime question before all others!
A) they respected the Office of the Presidency enough not to speak out, and/or
B) they retired if they could not stomach the "regime."
Also, the MSM would not have given them space, except to trash them for violating (A).
Strange as it seems, my liberal paper has published all the letters I've sent it except for ones I've written here first. Some of the liberal writers send a ranting, hate-filled letter weekly. I write about every other month. I use facts and logic, often garned from others here on Free Republic. I know it's effective, as the paper will get several hate-replies from the Bush-is-Hitler crowd that go rabid over my facts!
One warning, though. Don't post the letter here BEFORE it appears in your newspaper. Seems the leftists won't print anything already said, UNLESS it's a DNC talking point. They'll search the Internet for your phrases.... And if your thoughts are conservative, they check here.
Thanks so much snugs what a great thread that is!
George Will also made the comment today that the people that are comparing this time to any other time in say, Reagan's presidency is wrong.
He said that he thinks that he would compare Bush's presidency at this point, to NIXON'S, after Vietnam and WATERGATE!!!!...so he doesn't blame any Republican for distancing him/herself from him.
Fact do not change to "hogwash" just because you don't like them.
Actually one American Commander of NATO made disparaging remarks about Clinton and got canned for it.
Thank you!!!
I agree that there is no magic wand...
I also agree with your post at #378
The only thing I disagree with was
Find it interesting how "Conservatives" have suddenly adopted the rabid anti Business talking points of the Big Govt Socialist types.
in response to:
"Clamp down on employers who hire them and the illegals will deport themselves"
no- not all will deport themselves....not likely at all....but it would certainly help in STOPPING the madness and the supply for the demand of illegals...
but my main point of dissention was that clamping down on lawbreaking businesses is anti-business....
btw--
YOU ROCK!
Big sloppy kiss and hug- and a VERY HAPPY EASTER to you!!
Other than first class it's probably not worth doing. This would stop a huge percentage of the illegals from walking right across and the associated problems we have with border enforcement.
I repeat a country without borders will cease to be a country.
George Will seems to be getting more and more hateful toward the Bush Admin. I do not know the reason, but it is a serious antipathy. He is turning into a Pat Buchanan.
Someone needs to grab Georgie Will by the Bow tie and wave Reagan's 11th Commandment in his face. Acting as an Echo Chamber for DNC Talking Points is to actively enlist in the Democrats campaign. He is not on our side.
