Affleck: Bush 'Can Be Hung' for Leakgate
NewsMax ^ | 4/8/06 | NewsMax

Actor Ben Affleck has made it very clear where his sympathies lie in the Leakgate affair -- and it isn't with the White House.

Appearing on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher," Affleck charged that President Bush "probably also leaked” CIA agent Valerie Plame's name and so "if he did, you can be hung for that! That's treason!” He continued: "You could be killed. That's not a joking around Tom DeLay 'I'll do a year, I bribed the state officials with corporate money.' That's like they shoot you in the battlefield for doing that.”

Affleck also called DeLay a "criminal."

"He's not just a guy from Texas that Ben Affleck hates worse than reading his own reviews,"

Ha! Good one.

Smoke some more dope, Ben. You're an idiot and should only read from a script.

I miss you more then Michael Bay missed the mark
When he made Pearl Harbor
I miss you more than that movie missed the point
And that’s an awful lot girl
And now, now you’ve gone away
And all I’m trying to say is
Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you

I need u like Ben Affleck needs acting school
He was terrible in that film
I need u like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part
He’s way better than Ben Affleck
And now all I can think about is your smile
and that sh*tty movie too
Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you

Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?
I guess Pearl Harbor sucked
Just a little bit more than I miss you

What an asshat
I ask this a lot but never get an answer. Where does this expression come from? a region of the US? a movie? I never heard it before FR. I also wonder about moonbat. I've spent a lot of time on the east coast (of the USA) and never heard either.

Geez - I checked imdb and am amazed by all the Affleck movies I have seen and how much he sucks.

Good Will Hunting - I thought his character was STUPID and added nothing to the movie. Good thing Matt Damon made the movie.

Jersey Girl - Good job breaking up Kevin Smith's streak of pretty funny movies. This was crap.

Gigli - Ha ha ha.

Daredevil - Kingpin was great. Elektra was great. Affleck as my favorite comic book hero - The Man Without Acting Skills. I don't think I've ever cringed so much in a movie.

The Sum of All Fears - Okay, I didn't see it. But I understand the Jack Ryan franchise is dead now. Thanks a lot, f***wad.

Jay and Silent Bob - Affleck should definitely stick to cameos.

Pearl Harbor - Retch, retch, retch. Casting Affleck in this role was an insult to the sailors who died that day.

Dogma - Carried by Damon (again).

Forces of Nature - Horrid and lifeless. When you can't even do chick-flicks right, you're in trouble.

Armageddon - The whole Affleck/Liv Tyler suckfest dragged a pretty good scifi bubblegum flick into eternal blah-dom.

Chasing Amy - Whiny sappy Affleck does a piss-poor John Cusak impersonation. Hey Ben, most people saw this movie for Joey Lauren Adams. I know I did.

Mallrats - Affleck's best role: a minor character.

A pretty face. That's about it. Poor Jennifer Garner.

I'm still around, I just thought it was best to take a hiatus from posting.

Not going into detail, just let it suffice that I took extreme exception to the permanent banning of a fellow FReeper. I thought a little vacation might keep me from joining him for saying exactly what I thought of the situation.

I'm not as angry now as I was so it may be time to start posting again, even so I'll avoid the criminal alien threads for some little while yet.

(Re: Roger Ebert): Most people believe that, but he ate himself several years back...

I think I heard about that on the news. He became trapped in his own limousine, right?

Affleck must be drinking up the Kool Aid thinking it will enable him to handle the special atmosphere aboard the mother ship.

Bush "can be hung ..."

But other than that, "the death penalty is dead wrong."

I suspect that Bush can actually "be hung" for damned near anything.

Affleck's "best" role would have to be "Dazed and Confused" where he plays a loser, a**hole bully whose friends don't even really like him.

Once again, a spokesman for the party of "tolerance" and "understanding" and "acceptance" and "civility" speaks out. Of course, being 'Rats themselves, the media will never call these scumbags on their outrageous statements. But just let a conservative/Republican even hint at such things, and they'll be drawn and quartered by the media. What a bunch of lousy hypocrites.
