Everyone would be required by law to buy health insurance - if they didn't, tax returns would be held - for starters. Small business wuld be required to provide health insurance - at @ $300 per employee - for many small businesses this would be more than their monthly net....not to mention = new jobs would become scarcer than hens teeth.
Romney didn't cite any perceived savings for the state, he just said that the millions they now spend on the UNinsured would go , instead, towards helping the low income buy insurance.
So - no net savings of tax payer money but a death knell for small business - and new jobs?
Any wonder Hillary and Kerry are jumping for joy?

I saw the talking heads on Foxnews talking about this bill. They were absolutely beaming about what a good bill it is. Then one of them had the gall to mention at the end that it really doesn't do much about cost containment--or in fact, anything.
You've got to ask what the point of it is then.

People are so dumb to believe that passing the burden on to the businesses will solve the health care problem. Only deregulation and incentive-oriented policies will solve the problem, truly. Every other solution is just a hidden tax increase - either on individuals or businesses.
