Post your observations here.
Richard Miniter was on FNC and said that even if an employee is caught on videotape stealing from their employers, they cannot be fired.

I drove all over the 1st to the 7th today. Nothing.....
Nothing in the south of France over the weekend as well. Not even a pickpocket. How boring.
I did however see a lot of drunks lying in the streets and several women in veils (muslims?) approached my spouse and I for money.
We leave tomorrow. Will update if anything new.
To: backhoe
Thanks, backhoe. Good to "see" you.

Not really. Darkness didn't seem to have much of an effect. Very disappointing.

On the other hand, while the TV press may over-hype the situation in Paris, it's also maddening that they never show anything happening beyond Paris - the scope of the reporting is so narrow, like the stationary blind man reporting on an elephant based on what little he can touch.
To: Peach
Rioting and disorderliness is just another symptom of the breakdown in respect for proper authority. It is the natural fate of a society which has rebeled against God who is the source of all proper authority.
The supposed grievance of the French rioters is hardly relevant. This is simply a rage against authority from an apostate, post-Christian society whose new god is the state which is supposed to feed the insatiable sense of entitlement now ubiquitous in much of western Europe.
The next step in such societal decay is usually increased anarchy followed by the emergence of some despot or demigod who promises to satisfy all the wants and needs of the disatisfied, provided they embrace his twisted ideology.
To: onyx
Well that IS disappointing. I thought surely I'd return to find a few fires or something. Even in rioting, the French are lazy.

Why would the foreign press in Paris want to travel to dreary old Lyon or Clermont-Ferrand?

For some strange reason, I just don't feel sorry for them. Normally, I would condemn this type of behavior, and do here, except when they started picking on the MSM, I wanted to join in and release years of built up frustration at them!!!

From what we saw on TV, it didn't seem the Mounties were cracking heads.
Glad to hear they were. Those pictures would go a long way towards reminding protesters what's waiting for them.
