The President spent the weekend in Crawford Texas.
Today the President threw out the first pitch of the Cincinnati Reds opening day baseball game in Cincinnati, Ohio. Before the game he presented Eugene Goss, a junior at Clark Montessori High School in Cincinnati, the Volunteer Service Award as he arrived at the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in Hebron, Ky.
The First Lady visited schools today.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was in England back end of last week and spent Sunday and part of today in Baghdad with Jack Straw, she returned to London today with Jack Straw for a meeting with Tony Blair.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

ANOTHER (semi)RANT:
I can't remember when I've felt this relaxed and angst-free after a long, hard day at work . . . Do you know what made the difference? . . . I didn't listen to or read a single political commentary today -- no Tony Snow (or Brian Kilmeade), no Rush Limbaugh, DEFINITELY no Sean Hannity, and no FreeRepublic (or any other blog/on-line service).
Instead, I listened to 700WLW's wall-to-wall coverage of the Cincinnati Reds' Opening Day (laced with LOTS of fun/positive commentary about our president -- Marty Brennaman (Reds radio announcer) is a BIG GWB supporter and even got the President to spend some time with him 'in the booth' during the 2nd inning of today's game).
I'm going to follow this same routine for the rest of the week . . . I've had it with WIENER-IZED pundits who'd rather trash fellow Republicans/conservatives than engage in respectful, REASONED debates and educated discourse. After all, why THINK when juvenille insults and relentlessly repeated memes will do.
I was a normal person today . . . and I liked it!!!

LOL! GOOD for you, Deb!
(I spent three days in San Diego with my family and NO politics, and had the same experience).
Wish I had been listening to WLW instead of Rush today!

I see the short skirt look hasn't gone out of style for uniforms. I wonder how many times they've rolled the waist bands to get them that short? : )

FYI: It's not the bogus MSM polls or the Wiener-ized wackos here at FR that represent majority opinion in this country: It's the tri-state -- Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky -- fans who loudly and enthusiastically cheered President George W Bush today at the GREAT AMERICAN ball park! . . . As the Battleground Poll has consistently indicated, the President's PERSONAL APPROVAL RATING remains in the 60% range . . . the relentlessly repeated JA ratings are media manufactured bunk!I
This was such a great statement - it needed to be said again!! Thanks DrDeb!!

Great photos today, snugs. Isn't it nice to see the Prez enjoying himself with everyone so much?

They will not have rolled the waist band at all that is normal length for most skirts that youngsters of that age wear in Britain whether it be for school or fashion wear.

LOL! When I saw that picture with the President and Dusty Baker, my first thought was "What's Clarence Thomas doing in a Cubs uniform?" That coach looks just like him!

The dims must freak every time Dr Rice speaks or her photo appears on the wires. After all, she is not only brillant and a presence to be reckoned with around the world in that respect but she is always so beautifully turned out. She is well groomed, physically fit, tastefully dressed and her clothes are professionally tailored for a perfect fit. Moreover, she is dignified and assured without being smug. The woman is a powerhouse. Compared with the likes of dim high-profile women such as former Sec State "Mad Maddy" or the wretched Hillary or the clueless Pelosi and, .... well uh, you just can't compare that rumpled, frowsy, overstuffed, testy, plastic surgery addicted gang to Condi Rice. LOL. Ah, life is sweet.

Life is sweet, indeed, Darlin'! (And it's good to see you again!)
I like the comparison of Condi with Cynthia McKinney, don't you? The right and the left. The brilliant and the insane.
Works for me. :)
