High School Kid Who Burned Mexican Flag Arrested And Charged With Arson
FreeRepublic ^ | 3/31/06 | kstewskis

Posted on 03/31/2006 8:52:07 PM PST by lowbridge

Just got home from work, and was listening to Joe Crummy on KFYI interview one of the dads of the kids that burned the Mexican flag:

Apparently, his kid was arrested by AJ Police and was held in detention in Florence all day yesterday. CHarged with Arson. It took all of their savings to get a retainer for an atty.

It gets better. The family is now getting death threats. They were informed by police that there are those trying to find out where the family lives, and are going after them. AJ police stated to the father, there is nothing they can do about it, until someone actually shows up on their property.

Also, there was another kid from the school (Rod, who said he was a "future" Marine) read that letter from the school, forbiding any kid to wear any article of clothing resembling or representing a flag, no matter what country it represents.

He said emphatically, that he *will* wear the US Flag to school Monday.

Apparently this flag burning was near the ROTC table.

My respect for the kids in AJ have grown a hundred fold!

I think this is pitiful going after that young boy that way. I think the schools share some responsibility in this mess. Have they ever taught the students that this flag pole at the ROTC is for the American flag. Has this school district taught anything regarding flag day and the American flag?

Last time I checked, burning a flag was protected by the First Amendment. This is insane! Those cucarachas are at it again!

I think it will get much worse than that. The whole illegal immigrant movement was radicalized within 3 days. The only thing left is for the violence to start.

.....They won't be able to arrest us all.

Unless you live in California, New York, Illinois, or any other state where the 2nd amendment has been neutered.

A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government. --George Washington

I've got plenty of Ammo, although there is not a Mexican living in the vicinity for 10 miles, although the Consulate is three blocks away!

Not surprising, considering.

I thought "arson" was just intentionally setting a fire - indoors - outdoors doesn't matter.

Exercise your freedom of speech and post. You don't have o interact with them when they try to bait you. They're pretty low on the intelligence scale. But they don't know that.

If he had burned a Mexican flag in America, he would not have been arrested. Unfortunately, he burned a Mexican flag in Mexico.

The only eyes that should still be closed at this point are those attached to the heads of the business lobby (because they are still focused on the bottom line at the expense of everything else) and that of liberal politicians (because they want to increase the numbers of another controlled voting block).

Forbidden flags
The U.S. has no such prohibitions, but 17 states do have "forbidden flags."

California
prohibits the display of the "red flag or any other flag in a public place" as a sign of violent opposition to organized government. No state military group may carry other than the U.S. or State flags.

1919 California Penal Code, § 403a: "Any person who displays a red flag, banner or badge or any flag, badge, banner, or device of any color or form whatever in any public place or in any meeting place or public assembly, or from or on any house, building or window as a sign, symbol or emblem of opposition to organized government or as an invitation or stimulus to anarchistic action or as an aid to propaganda that is of a seditious character is guilty of a felony."

I found this in the Arizona Code, Title 13:

13-1701. Definitions
1. In this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:

1. "Damage" means any physical or visual impairment of any surface.

2. "Occupied structure" means any structure as defined in paragraph 4 in which one or more human beings either is or is likely to be present or so near as to be in equivalent danger at the time the fire or explosion occurs. The term includes any dwelling house, whether occupied, unoccupied or vacant.

3. "Property" means anything other than a structure which has value, tangible or intangible, public or private, real or personal, including documents evidencing value or ownership.

4. "Structure" means any building, object, vehicle, watercraft, aircraft or place with sides and a floor, used for lodging, business, transportation, recreation or storage....

13-1703. Arson of a structure or property; classification

1. A. A person commits arson of a structure or property by knowingly and unlawfully damaging a structure or property by knowingly causing a fire or explosion.

B. Arson of a structure is a class 4 felony. Arson of property is a class 4 felony if the property had a value of more than one thousand dollars. Arson of property is a class 5 felony if the property had a value of more than one hundred dollars but not more than one thousand dollars. Arson of property is a class 1 misdemeanor if the property had a value of one hundred dollars or less.
13-1708. Unlawful symbol burning; classification

2. A. It is unlawful for a person to burn or cause to be burned any symbol not addressed by section 13-1707 on the property of another person without that person's permission or on a highway or any other public place with the intent to intimidate any person or group of persons. The intent to intimidate may not be inferred solely from the act of burning the symbol, but shall be proven by independent evidence.

B. A person who violates this section is guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor.

Ask any Viet Nam Era Vet
what they think of the "plan" to reward
illegal "guest workers"
with a "path" to citizenship.

It was Viet Nam Era Vet's who saved America
from having to say "president hanoi kerry"

Karl Rove nailed it exactly

'08 Bumper Sticker

"ANYBODY except a RINO or hitlery!"

Sessions and Tancredo '08

http://sessions.senate.gov/
http://tancredo.house.gov/

Monday, March 27, 2006
http://sessions.senate.gov/pressapp/record.cfm?id=253171&&

“The American people are counting on us to secure our borders and restore the rule of law to our immigration system. The Senate Judiciary Committee today let the American people down by passing out a blanket amnesty bill. We've been down this path several times before, and it proved a failure.
“There was a real opportunity to take the steps necessary to fix our failed immigration enforcement system and while progress was made, we did not get there. The proper approach is to first fix the enforcement system and then to undertake a national discussion about immigration, considering how to justly handle those here illegally and what rules should govern future immigration levels. We also have not effectively dealt with the national security issues.

“I voted against the committee passed legislation because it rewards illegal behavior, will be considered amnesty by the people and will not restore respect for law. Fortunately, the House of Representatives has passed a solid bill, and there will be an opportunity to improve the Senate version in the days to come.”

http://tancredo.house.gov/irc/welcome.htm

"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Real Conservatives FINALLY
have a winning ticket in '08

Time for the real conservatives on FR,
be it Republicans, Independents or Democrats
(like Zell Miller and John O'Neill) to band together
and oust the looney left and RINO's

The "Politically Correct RINO's" on FR are the same group
who "swore"
klintoon, hitlery, hanoi kerry, sanbdi ber(bur)glar, al bore, jane beno,
would be prosecuted for
pardongate, chinagate, the bribes in upstate NY in the 2000 NY Senate race, waco, etc, etc,
"when" the "time was right".

NOW the The "Politically Correct RINO's" on FR
want YOU to actually support the "plan" to reward illegal "guest workers"
with a "path" to citizenship.

How could an illegal be a "guest" of anything?

What part of criminal don't RINO's understand?
