BS! They see the black person in the room with a huge neon sign above their head saying "BEWARE, PC MINEFIELD!".

No that is not true. My black daughters tell me that they are totally invisible in all white settings.

Here are the names of some of my daughter's friends:

Ellie, Allie, Abby, Addie, Andie, Essie.

It's as if 6 years ago all letters of the alphabet other than A, L, I, E, D, S and B disappeared. I can't keep them straight.

Picabo Strait...

I suppose you heard she was fired from her new nursing job in the ICU?

There was too much laughter when she answered the phone, "Picabo, ICU".

Furthermore, if you can't pronounce an "r" correctly, name him James or George.
You mean that there's places besides New Orleans that pronounce it "ar-ra"? Unbelievable!

Okay...one more for you. Took riding lessons with a girl named Wenbe (rhymes with Wendy). We asked her how she was named as it was a different name and she said it was the combination of her mother's and father's names which were Wendell and Betty.

Someone cracked that she was lucky her name wasn't Bedell. Turns out that's what they named her brother!

True story.

-"cutesie" names on little boys and little girls won't look so "cutesie" with "Governor" or "Senator" in front of those "cutesie" names as will strong names like Victoria and James

I dunno.... Newt did OK.

Shirley was considered a man's name until that little curly-haired girl came along.

Ted Striker: Surely you can't be serious.

Rumack: I am serious... and don't call me Shirley.

---------------------------------------

About 30 years ago, I knew a man named "Leslie"

I went to grade school with a kid named Noble Justice. Family name goin' way back. From West Virginia. Also know two Spurgeons. Not related. Don't know each other. And both nicknamed Spud! I find these old names quite interesting, But not as interesting as the Cleveland twin girls Gundarena and Gundarhetta.

LOL. Most girls named Brandy, Candy or Jade are destined to work a pole for a living, and I aint talking 'bout Lech Walesa either.

If your first and middle name is "John Wayne" you are destined to be a serial killer at worst and a drugstore cowboy at best. Remember, the real John Wayne was named Marion Michael.

If your name is Bruce or Lance, you are destined to shop at Pottery Barn and vacation in Mykonos.

There is a woman named Debra Clapp and is a doctor at a local clinic. She is a gynecologist and obstetrician.

It really makes you wonder about doctors and names. My dog went to a vet practice run by Drs. Chase and Bounds. Always had a chuckle about that.

That's OK, non-whites known any white guy with the name "Wayne" is probably white trash.

Whittaker Chambers' real name was Vivian (but it may have been his middle name). No wonder he decided to call himself something else.

My sister's neighbor (black) has a kid named "Courvoisier". Maybe that's what Momma was drinking the night the kid was conceived, I surmise.

Bet she was drinking it mixed with coke (Coca Cola type coke)

Actually what has developed from the blacks naming their kids those crazy names that no one can pronounce....is that it has made it easy to racially profile...pick up any paper and look at the crimes committed..and tell me how hard it is to figure out the ones committed by black's..

I know a lovely young woman named Katharine with an A. I asked why she wasn't Katherine with an E. She, this was when she was 9, said she was named after Katharine of Aragon. I loved her for that and still do.

I like classic names,,Elizabeth, Ann, Mary, Jane.

And any mom who names her daughter Brandy ought to be horse whipped.
