>>Christian Aid Workers Freed In Iraq
(Baghdad) -- Three Christian aid workers kidnapped in Iraq have been freed following what's being described as "a planned operation mounted by the Multinational Forces in Iraq." The British Embassy has confirmed that Briton Norman Kember and two Canadian nationals -- Harmeet Sooden and Jim Loney are being evaluated by doctors and are currently in the care of consular staff. The three men were taken hostage along with a fourth member of the Christian Peacemaker Teams in late November. The body of Tom Fox, a native of Virginia, was recovered earlier this month in Baghdad.

An email friend sent me this:
It ended up being the military that got their a**es out of the sling.
Now you have to ask yourself, if they prayed?
Now they have to ask themselves, was this God's answer?
You nailed it!!
I find them an embarassment to Americans, too. (the real kind)
"James Stated that "they're totally irresponsible. He should go home and stay there". I disagree. He is criminally irresponsible and endangered lives of soldiers of several nations. He should be prosecuted and jailed."

Very good link. Thanks!
These folks are masquerading as Christians. This is their pre Katrina NO Show Me What You Got Mardi Gras.
Oddly, this was basically the plot of the new show, "The Unit" last Monday night. Anybody else see it?

Very interesting. Ransome given by their organization?
Maybe they paid up after the terrorists offed the first guy and the military story was a cover up story to deter ransomes and to freak out other terrorists to believe we really can get more intel than they think we could. Just a very cyncical thought.
More likely, it was a military operation rescue. either way, these people are complete Moonbats...but not funny ones. they still collaborate and support the enemy and put our military in danger and take our military off their main duty to kill terrorists. They should be prosecuted.
I just wish the bad guys were killed instead of freely roaming the streets looking for more hostages.
Thanks for posting this. It is great to see the Brits just as ticked off as Americans about the ungratefulness of this group of peace activists.
Nope. No indication that it was, though.
This is in response to the article, "Norman Kember freed in Iraq," posted on your website.
Norman Kember was not freed. He was RESCUED.
If Mr. Kember had been released by the savage animals who kidnapped him and murdered Tom Fox, then your headline, "Norman Kember freed in Iraq," would be a true statement.
As written, "Norman Kember freed in Iraq," is a false news headline. It's simply not true. It's a lie.
Norman Kember and two others were RESCUED, under force of arms, by United States, British and Iraqi forces, from scum who believe that kidnapping and murdering non-combatants is a perfectly appropriate means to acheive a political goal.
Your opening paragraph clearly demonstrates the willingness to bend and twist facts: "Norman Kember, the British aid worker held hostage in Iraq since November, has said "it's great to be free" after he and two Canadian colleagues were released.
They weren't released. They were RESCUED.
And the next paragraph: Speaking after special forces freed the men, 74-year-old Mr Kember added: "I am looking forward to getting back to the UK."
The Special Forces didn't free the men, they RESCUED the men.
And as a postscript, I hope this is a lesson to the folks from the Christian Peacemaker Teams and other loose nuts, to stay out of war zones unless they want bad things to happen to them. The animals we're fighting are not nice people.
The negative press release by the rescued prisioners is further evidence that liberals have a mental disorder. They praise their captors (even though their captors turtored and murdered one of their own) and condemn their rescuers! I hope and pray that their organization has to pay the cost of the capture. They should volunteer to pay. I do not like my taxpayer dollars being spent on saving ungrateful fools! I wonder how soon these morons will return to Iraq?
BTW, CPT added an addendum to their original statement, which omitted any mention of the soldiers, and now express gratitude for the soldiers' risking their lives to save them. This is belated, but it acknowledges that it was the troops who freed them, not the te##orists and at least they said thank you. I think they must have got a storm of criticism like my letter(http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1601642/posts?page=45#45) and I congratulate the pajama media for striking again for truth, justice and the American Way. (fade to picture of Superman in front of the American flag).
After they were rescued, they turned around and bad-mouthed
the very people that rescued them!
Of course this will be in the MSM for a day. It's like the one kid on South Park. You all know Token? I guess a scrap of good news is worth a day of reporting while car bombs and bloodshed rate several days if not a week.
At the risk of being revealed as a "hard ass" --
I'm of the opinion, our Nation, our war against Islamofacists and the safety of coalition forces would have been better served if ALL of the "peace activists" had been killed by their captors..
1. It would have yet again demonstrated the brutality of the bastards we're fighting...
2. It may have discouraged other silly "give peace a chance" a$$holes from going into war zones and getting in the way, demoralizing coalition forces or putting coalition forces at risk by rescue attempts.
3. Bleaching warts, blemishes and insanity out of the human gene pool is always a good thing....
Semper Fi
There is no missionary work whatsoever done by CPT in Iraq or any other place where they operate. They are in Iraq to observe and record, and they were involved in trying to document human rights abuses at American-run prisons when the hostages were taken.
