Re: Your attempt to shut down political free speech on the Internet
John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!
And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!
Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.
How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.
You can take your fascist campaign finance laws and the jackbooted FEC anti-free-speech enforcers you are empowering and put them where the sun don't shine. And if this post is in violation of your unconstitutional law, shove it too!
Paraphrased from In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed:
The Beast never dies, it simply changes form. The Beast has known many forms: Bolshevism, communism, Nazism, fascism. The Beast has had many names: Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Tojo, Mao, Pol Pot.
The Beast cannot co-exist with freedom. The very first freedom lost is the freedom of speech, then religion, knowledge and the arts. Anything that empowers the individual must be destroyed. The state must control all.
Power to the state.
Power as an end to itself.
Those who speak out against the Beast are labeled extremists, radicals, warmongers. Churchill, McCarthy, Reagan.
The Beast must be contained, appeased. We must have "Detente" at any cost. Direct confrontation of the Beast must be avoided.
Appease him and pray the wolf may pass our door.
Free speech must die.
The Beast never dies.
and more easily interrupted...
There is that.
No doubt about it...opposition is lining up to cut him down similiar to what was done to Sen. Max Cleland (purple heart, bronze star), Sen. Bob Kerrey (medal of honor), John Murtha and, yes, John Kerry, and even Lindsey Graham is a target on occasion. I don't share their political philosophy but, damn it, they did their duty (unlike the likes of chickenhawks Karl Rove, Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, George Allen, Bill Frist, Ron Reagan, Michael Savage and Sean Hannity).
Yes we know Hillary and McCain are leftist scum.
But the Republicans passed a bill that restricts political speech before elections and the President Bush signed it? Huh? Is this right?
I believe sufficient time has lapsed for the McTreasonator or any of his cohorts to answer your challenge. According to the ancient rules of judicial combat, you may now officially and publicly post their names as cowards sans honor.
The worse part of a law like this is that the Republicans will not enforce the law equally (especially against the left) as they will be afraid of looking like mean ole vindictive conservatives in the MSM. The DemonRats will take and ram every little thing down the rights throats while excusing the transgressions of their leftist cohorts. Meanwhile the Republicans will be huddled around a microphone somewhere afraid to respond with more than a wimpering "Why can't we all just get along."
BTW, I'm with you 100%!
I heard or read somewhere that McCain has ties to Soros money. Do you have any information about this?
Agreed. McCain is one of my least favorite Republican presidential candidates, but I'd vote for him over ANY Democrat ANY day. ANY president from the Democratic Party is dangerous in my opinion.
Agreed about George Allen.
An interesting point that is remains true only if congress maintains a Republican majority.
" All sorts of garbage became law under Bush and I believe that it would only get worse if McCain was in there."
All sorts of garbage became bad law under Clinton starting with all those executive orders, not to mention all the bad law and bad precedent established by the Democrat Judges Clinton appointed to the judiciary.
I beginning to wonder Badray, if there is ever a time you advocate voting for a Republican.
For democracy needs it to live, as does every other good thing.
Thanks. That confirms my recollection.
I refer to Reagan's amnesty. Rather than learn from it, the GOP and the Dems are willing to repeat it on a grander scale.
Bush has advocated for everything short of closing the freaking borders and he will sign any piece of garbage that Congress sends to him. He cannot be counted on to what's right.
The Dems are worse, but arguing (voting) for McCain is like preferring influenza over pneumonia. Both will kill you, but at least pneumonia is taken seriously while the flu is ignored by too many until it's too late.
Other than his overseas portion of the war on terror, I don't have a problem with that.
Maybe the House will be too busy trying to impeach him that they won't be able to pass any more damaging and costly legislation.
Actually, right now, I believe that most of those holding elected office in DC should be removed violently, but I would settle for impeachment of all of them. They no longer serve us, only themselves.
LOL...yeah, I don't think that violently is the way to go...but an all incompassing impeachment, I would go for that..
BTW...I just saw Linda Chavez on Fox News..they were showing the protest going on in Los Angeles today...of illegals ...
AND she is more on the side of amnesty...blech!

I think you are mistaken about Rush, and Hannity. IIRC they were both adamantly opposed to McCain Feingold. Rush said repetedly that he thought Bush would veto the vapid thing, and when he signed it, Rush was not happy. He said he was sure the SC would over turn. Rush, and all talk show hosts are worried that the FEC will shut them down 30 days before the election.
Please tell me, to a degree that really matters, how Bush's compassionate (yes) conservatism (not) differs from socialism.
Under the GOP, the US has slid steadily, but slowly, towards socialism -- the slowly boiled frog syndrome.
I keep hoping that the collective frogs will jump, but it seems that soon there will be a huge supply of frog legs to dine on.
The difference between the parties is only that the dems will turn up the heat and some frogs will get out of the pot that they are so comfortable in right now.
Both parties love big government to enforce what they want and think that it is a good think. I expect that of Democrats. I find it abhorrent in Republicans.
"Government is not reason, it is not eloquence - it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master: never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action." -- George Washington
It matters not that government is doing what you want. The government large enough to give you what you want is big enough to take whatever it wants.
