A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day....03-17,18,19-06....Kiss me - I'm Irish!
Billie

Posted on 03/16/2006 9:32:33 PM PST by Billie

Some Irish tunes for your listening pleasure. A couple of wave files - full-length, lilting, Irish melodies - they are so beautiful! I hope you can open them, or "save target as" to your hard drive and listen to them later.
"My Wild Irish Rose" ~ John Gary
"I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen" ~ John Gary

MIDIS

"Irish Lullabye"
"The Last Rose of Summer"
"When Irish Eyes are Smiling"
"I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen"
"Danny Boy"

Finest Friends....

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

An Irish Band in the Heartland. What could be better than that?!

Are you in Kansas City?

I live in North GA now but was born in Tulsa and still have family there. Good people in that part of the Country. I love the Heartland.

Yep, tho K.C. and the surrounding county is largely democratic and liberal at times. All is not lost, we do have some good local conservative talk radio.

Am afraid it's that way with most big cities. Even Atlanta is democrat.

Greenest Finest Greetings. Dear lady:

Georgeous Georgi...O'Bush is wearing his Irish shamrock neck scarf today.....I've tried to get a photo of him to post but haven't benn able because he just keeps doing the Irish jig!

My Congresswoman Katherine Harris is a terrific campaigner! And she's a true conservative who will make us all proud in the US Senate!

I'm hoping the FReepers will support her like they did in 2000! She told me all the prayers, notes & flowers they sent then helped her deal with the pressure!

She needs our prayers & support again.....And I hope many FReepers will stand with her.

They sound somewhat American, guess our music has always had an Irish influence.

Trying to link a sample of The Edlers. Let me know if it works.

"She needs our prayers & support again....."

My prayers for Kathehrine have never ceased since the 2000 Election, Julie.
Please tell her that if you have an opportunity.

I have two conservative God, Country Honor & Family Loving very grown sons down there - one in Lake Worth - the other now up in Port St. Lucie.

She can count on their votes..:))

Yep, it worked. I think they are an Irish rock band, that may be why they sound American. I enjoyed seeing their concert on PBS recently.
