FReeper Canteen ~ What's The Origin Of Your Screenname? ~ March 16, 2006

What is the origin of your screen name? Come tell us your story.... How'd ya choose your screen name? A situation in your life? Part of a song? Your Military service?
For me, it was three times I came across "Misbehavin" that decided it for me! I bought a blouse that had that on the tag... Then my MIL gave me a book about a cat called Ms.Behavin.. Then I heard the song "Ain't Misbehavin!"
So there ya have it! Have fun! Please, no politics in The Canteen.. We want our troops to rest, relax and relate!
Now tell us YOUR story!! |

Alief is the section of the city I live in. The whole neighborhood is Asians except for us and a few Hispanics. All of the Asians cook outside. When we walk the dog near sunset we have had thoughts of jumping the fences and stealing the food off the grill at those Asian houses.
A few blocks from us is a small Chinatown. Very interesting restaurants around here.

Mine is fairly obvious, right? I signed up during the fury of the 2004 election year and was sick of being told by friends and family what an awful president we had. I wanted to show my support.

Thats funny...no lack of imagination there imho. Your handle has a certain pizazz to it! Direct and to the point.
I signed up because I wanted to go to FReeper Libertina's Puget Sound chapter summer party which I found out about while lurking for a while. Never mind political scandal...it takes a party to motivate me. Of course Libertina was concerned I may be a party disrupting troll which is another story but I used my first handle "shotokan" just to see if it was being used and found out I was stuck with it.

Scooby Dooby DOO!
Look at the size of this thread!!!!!!! ;)
Ya done good!
OK! Let's see.
It was a dark and stormy night. No. It wasn't stormy. It was, however, still dark.
It was a dark night. The night brought LIGHT into my world but the sun hadn't come out.
Oh never mind.
Brad was born. I'm his Gramma. How much easier can it be?

"Speech! Speech!"
This is a land of dreams. Some are simple while others are grand. I have oft' had a dream that I would one day push an FR thread to the 900 post threshold. Somewhere, there is a kid on a farm in the heartland who now knows that he or she can also achieve this landmark in their lives.

LOL! And you deliberately killed the grammar in that sentence! Oh well, I understood it. Is that good or bad? :D

You mean < whispers > we're not alone here? There really are other Olyo's who admit to following the non-liberals? I thought our relatives were the only ones...

No, probably not. That's why I am awake so late tonight. The grandson and his nuisance dog are here. They won't leave until Sunday night. Upsets the whole living routine.
