What is the origin of your screen name? Come tell us your story.... How'd ya choose your screen name? A situation in your life? Part of a song? Your Military service?
For me, it was three times I came across "Misbehavin" that decided it for me! I bought a blouse that had that on the tag... Then my MIL gave me a book about a cat called Ms.Behavin.. Then I heard the song "Ain't Misbehavin!"
So there ya have it! Have fun! Please, no politics in The Canteen.. We want our troops to rest, relax and relate!
Now tell us YOUR story!! |

I had signed up under a diferent name years before 911 but when I came here after the attack it was no where to be found? So I used what I thought was appropriate. The United States Military Rules! As in The Best Armed Forces in the world! I did not serve but I love the military and All of our servicemen! Thank You.

Hi all! The origin of my screen name is as follows. When President Bush was being inaugurated, Laura wore a red dress to the Balls. Miss Marple called her the "lady in red". Since that was also a favorite song of mine, I thought it would make a great screen name and immediately changed my old one for it! I started out as Chadsworth, now my hubby's screen name!

Nope. I'm still just working on schoolwork and teaching. Although, this week I've been on spring break, so I get a break from teaching.
I suppose I better get some sleep. Good night!

Simple - I've owned boats, both sail and power for over 40 years...lived aboard for about 5 years off and on, and I'm pretty "hard right" in my political beliefs....thus Hard Starboard (starboard = the right-hand direction on a ship); it nets out to "Hardstarboard".
Eagles Up!!! Go Free Republic!

The origin of my screen name is a character from a Monty Python sketch (The Poet Meter Reader) who was named Wombat Harnish.
The 101 was simply an easy to remember number.

Neither am I :) I enjoy good grammar, but I can't really name many of the areas of grammar (i.e., noun, pronoun, verb, etc.) and point to a word and say "that's a ____" unless it's fairly obvious. But I do have good sentence structure - and I write good stories >:D!
