FReeper Canteen ~ What's The Origin Of Your Screenname? ~ March 16, 2006
Ms.Behavin

Posted on 03/15/2006 5:59:14 PM PST by StarCMC

What is the origin of your screen name?

Come tell us your story....

How'd ya choose your screen name?
A situation in your life?
Part of a song?
Your Military service?

For me, it was three times I came across "Misbehavin"
that decided it for me!
I bought a blouse that had that on the tag...
Then my MIL gave me a book about a cat called Ms.Behavin..
Then I heard the song "Ain't Misbehavin!"

So there ya have it!
Have fun!
Please, no politics in The Canteen..
We want our troops to rest, relax and relate!

Now tell us YOUR story!!

Tell me about it:) I have given them a few drops and they love your company-you have become part of us because you share and have been given that gift.

One thing is for sure: We love the folks out there fighting for our country. Without them we would not be here.

Here is a short marching jody:

Here we go again
Same old stuff again
Marching down the avenue
Few more days and we'll be through
I won't have to look at you
So, I'll be glad and so will you

I have fond memories staying up at Ft. McCoy as a Boy Scout every October-- clearly this being before 9/11.

We'd stay in the barracks (though we had to make sure they were spotless before we left), had some access to the fitness center, PX (where we could buy souvenirs--playing cards, T-Shirts, boonie hats, flashlights, etc.), mess hall (had to line up in formation before meals in uniform, and rec hall, and had a tour of the base--every year we'd go somewhare different and see different parts of the base.

But the one thing I believe that we all gained while we were up there was a deeper respect for those who serve our nation and a unique look into the opportunities the military provides.

Many Thanks to all who serve!!!

You're welcome...my time in didn't see too many separations, but the few homecomings were very special. I know what it's like from his point of view...it takes a special lady to do what our wives do.
