Did Race play a role in the Port Deal discussions? The very charge is met by the likes of Sean Hannity and others with Righteous Indigination. In fact, to mention it makes you the true problem. Mark Levin in fact called a MAjor General a dirtbag over that charge. The below cartoons may be an issue now in the UAE. They are not cartoons about that ole darn prophet however. THere will be no boycotts over these but remember still they dont help things. The cartoonist just give us what we want sometimes. From MSNBC the following cartoon. There were many others that through the glory of the net are available to all.

my argument is that bayourant had it completely wrong and that there was no point ion trying to mitigate his/ her stupidity. He/ she had this wrong 6 ways to Sunday, made the allegation and then tried to weasel out of it. The allegation was unfounded and propagated without any attempt to determine the truth of the accusation.
As far as Mark calling you a nut...count yourself lucky. It could have been a lot worse..he muct have been in a good mood. It wasn't as if he called you a racist or anything..

Hello,
Cranky? You? It'll never happen!! Anyway, I am going to bed now, but plan to leave the TV on in case things get ugly with these storms. Prayers to all that have been hit tonight, there have been over 60 tornados sighted in the Midwest.
Take Care, talk to you all in the AM, glad to be here, MOgirl

Yeah, since I wasn't in attendance or see any of the events you posted...this is about as good as it gets in my life.
Actually I should have said in my "no life".... Well, if not "live," one can still get a kick from recordings. I've had great days listening to vinyl - that were at least as fun as this party room.

I don't think his comments had anything to do with policy, per se...
Just that he took umbrage at a seeming bias against the ports deal because it was an Arab country signing the contract.
Is a military person not allowed to speak out if he/she feels there is an element of bias or racism in the rhetoric of the day?

"How do you know it was 'cleared from the top'?"Are you assuming a CentCom chief -- Gen. John Abizaid -- is going to make such a controversial statement without clearance from his CiC?

Some folks need proof. I'm glad you have the means to provide it.
I suspect bayourant will be back in a couple days and apologize. Or maybe I'm just a cock-eyed optimist.

Then you don't know what an "ad hominem" is". That figures.
Your side has spent the better part of two + weeks, saying that DPW was BUYING ports.
That is NOT a fact!
It was also claimed, by your side, that DPW would be in charge of port security.
That's not so either.
The "deal" is NOT lost.
DPW did BUY P&O.
I could repeat and correct all of the LIES that were posted to FR and correct them, but frankly, I don't feel like it.
Now go read the threads that actually contain the FACTS and try to finally learn some.

You sleep well and we will be praying that you and those in the area stay safe!!!!

LOL...sounds like your life is just a bit more exciting than mine.
Although, I still have vinyl hanging around somewhere.

Ok, so you think the people are stupid. I don't. The media fed them plenty of lines about Bush, and he won in 2004, didn't he? But so be it. You cannot compare the duration of a presidential election to this deal. The question isn't stupidity the question is information and something that resembles thoughtful consideration.

Um...no, it is against their rules. Gen'l was over the line in commenting. Besides, it was DEMOCRATS who brought up the race card, but somehow pinned it on Republicans. Can't get away with that forever unless you're part of the DNC-MSM.
