I don't think his comments had anything to do with policy, per se...

Just that he took umbrage at a seeming bias against the ports deal because it was an Arab country signing the contract.

Is a military person not allowed to speak out if he/she feels there is an element of bias or racism in the rhetoric of the day?

Um...no, it is against their rules. Gen'l was over the line in commenting. Besides, it was DEMOCRATS who brought up the race card, but somehow pinned it on Republicans. Can't get away with that forever unless you're part of the DNC-MSM.
