The betrayal of America
The Augusta Free Press ^ | February 20, 2006 | Max Friedman

Posted on 02/28/2006 3:36:19 PM PST by EveningStar

This column is a rant, not a soft, cuddly piece of fluff opinion. It is going to tell the truth like you have never heard it before. To quote Jack Nicholson from the movie "A Few Good Men" - "You want the truth? You can't handle the truth" - but I'm going to give it to you anyway.

So, as your mother used to do to those of you readers who are old enough to remember, hold your nose and take your medicine, because the doctor is in, and he's operating with a chainsaw.

After 35 years in the news/journalism business, from D.C. to Vietnam, I can honestly say that most of the leading Democratic Party politicians and their far-left support groups are traitors to this country. Besides the few who are deceased or out of office, today's DP is loaded with leaders who have sold out this country to the communists, to the Islamofascists and to their egos. Others are just plain stupid, addle-brained and knee-jerk jerks.

(I'll get to the Republicans in a minute)...

Wow! Now THAT is a RANT! Ping me anytime to something like this! :)

"These are the most treacherous Democrats ever to sit in Congress, the most incompetent, the most egotistical, and the most stuck on stupid bunch of SOBs in modern American political history (Sen. Harry Reid and Rep. Nancy Pelosi being the prime examples), and a lot of the American people are the dumbest bunch of yahoos ever to go into a voting booth to help them carry out this betrayal."

The first target of my Letters to the Editor rants will be those imebeciles who stand idly in line at the supermarket as their groceries are being rung up and then act surprised at the end of the process that they have to actually pay and spend twenty minutes digging around for the cash of credit card.

(Just kidding)

I've written a few irate letters to the editor's, and of course each newspaper calls to verify if I was the author of the letter, one time an editor called me and asked if I had written that letter that day (via e-mail) and I said yes, and she said she agreed with every point in the letter (which was about President Bush's "ownership society" idea).

Pings.

Please forgive me pingees for abusing my ping lists to bring you this totally off topic ping.

It is quite possible the world's most perfect rant. None, but this guy and Ann Coulter dare call it treason, even though it is.

I'd love to see there reaction over at DU on this one.

Letters to the Editor have a special place in my heart. Really. Before the internet, they acted as a forum for community debate and to air community issues by "normal" people. It was all very Norman Rockwell. When I travel to small towns I always buy the local paper and read the letters to the editor section first. It's the surest way to understand a community other than talking to cops or insurance/real estate agents.

Cozy With The CIA

Pincus has had a long relationship with the CIA. Herbert Romerstein, a veteran investigator of Soviet subversion, disinformation and espionage, says Pincus and Gloria Steinem attended a Communist International Youth Festival in Vienna in 1959, with funds provided by the CIA. The CIA financed at least one more trip for Pincus in 1960. He has said that he rejected a job offer from CIA. During the Clinton years, Pincus enjoyed access to high-ranking CIA officials. He consistently portray-ed the Agency's leadership in the most favorable light-as long as that leadership came from within the Democratic Party. He has been particularly kind to George Tenet, a Clinton appointee who, has been held over by George W. Bush.

Absolutely. I agree. The Letters To The Editor is the first place I stop every morning when I go to the Billings Gazette (Montana - statewide delivered daily newspaper) website. They now include a comments section where readers can comment on each particular letter or interact with one another.

"This rant gives an insight to what my grandfather would be like."

We've got the same Grandpa. Hell, so many of us DO and just don't realize it. I mean, THEY were the ones to put up with Socialism from it's very inception in our great country under FDR! No wonder our Grandpas were so cranky! ;) (I'm 45; lost my Grandpa two years ago when he was 82.)

And OUR generation thinks it had problems with Clinton? ROFLMAO! We're small fish compared to what our immediate conservative family members put up with for FORTY years of their lives...and had virtually NO outlet for expression!

We, as Conservatives, have GOT to knuckle down. We cannot, I repeat; CANNOT let the Dims ever have any real, tangible power again or all is lost.

Thanks again for FR, Mr. Robinson. Many of us would be totally 'round the bend without your forum! :)

These last few weeks have taken an untold reserve of energy from my tank. I have had to counter hundreds of posts from the knee-jerking "true conservatives" on this forum to the point where I am nearly as transparent as cellophane!

I fear that there has been great unrepairable damage done to the Republican party's future. And the sickening thing is, there were just too many Republicans that bought into this evil misinformation. The MSM is simply, pure evil as this latest polling stunt done by SeeB.S.
