Lubbock is about an hour and a half south of Amarillo. Lubbock is close to the caprock of the Llano Estacado so it is rolling land; about 10 miles to the east the land becomes rugged canyon land.

Well, a lot has changed since 1992; you probably wouldn't recognise the town. TTU has also undergone a lot of changes and looks a bit different.
I came here in 1993 from San Antonio.
"I was only poking fun."
I know; hell, the locals do the same. ;-)

Propane is heavier than air. It doesnt disperse in the atmosphere, it floats along the ground until it finds an ignition source. If they put it out and couldnt shut it off it would just float along the ground again until it found a spark and blow up again. Its best to let it burn out.

Here is a view of part of the TTU campus from the Architecture building. The northeastern part of town is in the background.

"This is one of my favorite parts of the tour. of Lubbock. Say hello to our residents, Pedro and Inez. Pedro is working on an "adobe." Can you say that with me?"
"Inez is holding a clay pot, of which she seems to be very proud. She has decorated it with lots of paint and glaze."

Another view from the Architecture building. In this view, downtown Lubbock (the group of buildings on the horizon near the centre of the photo) is visible.

What area? Where is this? Could we maybe set up a special FR Purgatory for people who post an article like this and do not at least identify the State which it relates to? (And saying it comes from the Springfield Gazette isn't sufficient!)

Wanna give me a hint as to where this is located? Please, when posting place the location for those of us that have no idea where you are located.
