Tolerance of Islam.
I've got you beat by 3 years--and I don't even celebrate Lent.

Well, I gave up Christianity for Lent about 40 years ago.40. That's a highly symbolic number, isn't it?

You know why you never invite just one Baptist to go fishing, right?

I understand Baptists don't recognize the Pope as their spiritual leafer.
Nor do they recognize each other at Hooters.
Old joke, sorry..

Watching '24'. Wait--can we postpone Lent until this summer?!

I'm Baptist, we don't give up anything. Really? Or is that a "Baptists aren't allowed to have any fun anyway so what's the point of giving something up" joke? Anyway, I'm a Catholic and I always give up the drink for Lent, and this year I'm giving up, God help me, salt. It was the doc's suggestion and my gift to my wife. To tell you the truth, I'd rather give up my left arm than cut out salt. I know it sounds ridiculous to be so attached to salt, but I really think I'm going to feel the walk to Calvary very acutely this year
