Federalist Patriot bashes Abe Linclon

I don't know how many of you get the Federalist Patriot report via email, but it is a great source of conservative news and opinion that all of you should get.

Anyway, even though I support them, they sent out an email today that bashed Abe Lincoln fiercely. I was so moved to annoyance by their biased and ill thought out email that I had to write them and say how disappointed I was.
You can go to their site and see the anti-Lincoln screed that they put out to know exactly what I am replying to if you desire to do so.
Now, I know some of you freepers are primo confederate apologists so I thought this would stir debate on freerepublic!!
Now, let the fur fly as we KNOW it must...

My bad. Should have finished this better:
(The Judicial power of the Constitution was intended as a court for the federal enclave and a mediator between the states. It never was intended to make *law* for the People, only for the States within enumerated areas)

I guess he could have held a bigger gun to the head of the collective States than the possibility of war with both England and Spain.

The pro-slaver & Confederate insurrectionist, William Porcher Miles, the one who designed the Confederate battle flag welcomed the Civil War for one reason: to preserve Southerners' right to own slaves.
According to Slavery Inc's William Miles, "Many of the highest, manliest and most admirable qualities in the Southern character have been preserved in their pristine strength, if not engendered by our peculiar social and domestic system,".
Miles was among the most vehement supporters of slavery, arguing that it was a cornerstone of Southern culture. A few years before the war, he wrote in a Charleston, S.C., newspaper that black people were "debased, sensual, groveling creatures, hardly worthy of the name of men." Slavery, Miles wrote, was an institution created by God.
One of the most fanatical pro-slavers was the mentally unstable Confederate "fire eater" Edmund Ruffin.
With rapid collapse of Confederate forces in 1865, Ruffin proclaimed "unmitigated hatred to Yankee rule," and on June 17th, 1865, committed suicide.
We need to recall today's neo-confederate Big Lie, "slavery had nothing to do" with the Civil War....and there is a rather large bridge for sale in Brooklyn :)

Yeah...just like the Preamble is not part of the Constitution, and perpetual doesn't mean for ever, and posterity does not mean all the offspring of a given progenitor.The preamble is not. It is a statement by the People who function under common/civil law giving their approbation (meaning 'to ordain and establish') to the creation of a federal state of limited national powers.
It is in introduction to, but not a part OF the legal contract of the Constitution.

The Constitution is a contractual COMPACT, not a suicide pact.
