I have baked with stevia. You have to get the very refined type it looks like really fine sugar. And *warning* a little bit goes a very long way. :) I made muffins and cakes with it...I think I still have my stevia cookbook, if you would like, I can see if I can find it online for you!

Oh... yeah - Also, I forgot to add that Splenda is made by treating the sugar with chlorine. I don't know if that's a good thing or not, so I decided to stay away from it until we know more. *gah* Maple sugar is also pretty good for you as a sweetener.

Thanks.I had to fix a few things in the original translation, because it came out garbled.LOL.
You'll like this recipe.
There are many variations of this recipe and some times I leave out the asparagus and mushrooms. It still tastes good either way.
I found that if I boil my chicken in chicken broth instead of saltwater it is even better.:)
Have fun cooking it and if you have any questions freepmail me.

*squeeee* We did this one year for a movie themed chili cookoff contest. It was *SO* good. Since we chose The Matrix - we had RED Chili and BLUE Chili - we used blue potatoes and blue food coloring, and added some cream to it as well. *YUM* We got third place. But we won the next year with an African Chili that we made with venison!
Ok, I just got done with supper, and now I'm starving again! :)

What's great is that it's fairly light in calories! :D It will be fun experimenting with variations this spring.

Crushed red pepper in the gravy is great...especially if you've added a pound or so of hot Italian sausage as the meat base.

Mmmmmmm! I get a wonderful organic freerange chickenbroth here for about 1.50 a quart, so that's a great alternative. I'm going to pick up the ingredients this weekend and make it. Thank you again!
