Ann Coulter...was definitely Fridays biggest draw at CPAC 2006.
From the get-go the conservative columnist had the crowd cheering and was frequently interrupted by applause.
Many of Coulters talking points came from recent news events -- such as the great Danish cartoon caper and President Bushs Supreme Court nominees.
Muslims are the only group who kill because people call them violent, she said of Islams rage over the printing of Muhammad cartoons.
Speaking about the nation's highest court, Coulter not only expressed elation at Justice Samuel Alitos confirmation, she also shared her feelings on Chief Justice John Roberts ...
She had fun impersonating Sen. Hillary Clinton, mocking Clintons MLK Day remarks on the slave plantation in the House of Representatives, adding: And you know what Im talkin about, girlfriend.
I can say that by the way, Coulter said. My party freed the slaves.
Democrats have three major planks, she explained: Abortion on demand, gay marriage and banning the Boy Scouts.
Someday theyll find a way to combine them all and figure out how to abort all future Boy Scouts.

Re #66;
"Ann caught hell for using the word "raghead"...
Ann Coulter... OFFEND somebody??!! **{8^Q
OOOoooh NOOOO, Mr. Bill...!!! {B>P~~
If everyone were like Ann, there would be no elected officials, and the Constitution and the country, as the Founders intended it to function would as you so delicately put it, 'go to hell.'"
Now now OWF, you're quite hypobolic about your thesis AND Coulter...
It could be stated General George Patton was the Ann Coulter of his time.
Never measured his words. Non-electable, but edgy and effective and honest just the same. Would you have had Patton fired after he slapped that private as well?
An Coulter has never asked to be a conservative icon.
She attacks with a fury that sometimes misses the mark, but in the context of her contribution to conservatism, she gives no quarters, abides by no political etiquette, nor should she. She's been far more right, than wrong as a pundit and conservative warrior.
She's a historian, constitutionalist, humorist, and cultural observer and Democrats' bane who loves this country and it's traditions...
AND she doesn't necessarily trust the government OR GOP, unafraid to assume all is done in our "best interests." Exhibit "A" -- the borders/illegal situation.
Like Mr. Darcy, my good opinion, once lost, is lost forever...............at least for skinny, mouthy talking heads. ;)
Thanks for your continued prayer and reminder to pray for our troops and our Commander in Chief, bray. I don't often say it, but I appreciate it every time you post. Thanks!
I did read your post...and many others before and after. Unfortunately, you were the one who posted that very scrawny image of Ann, and thus in a fit of laziness, I replied only to you. For this I wholeheartedly apologize.
Then why did you post the following?
"I find it amusing when fatties accuse thin people of being anorexic."
Your implication was clear and not much of a "jump": anyone (specifically me in this instance) speculating that Ann Coulter might suffer from anorexia automatically becomes "fat" in your opinion.
Coulter should be thanked for opposing Miers, along with Laura Ingraham and Robert Bork.
You seem to place feelings over judgment.
This was your first post to me. You said I place feelings over judgement. WHO is determined to 'start some kind of fight?'
Then you tell me if I don't like Ann that I should stay away from threads like this. WHO is determined to 'start some kind of fight?'
Now you insult me further by belittling my intelligence and reading comprehension because YOU have problems communicating.
Let's get simple, here.
I have a right to be on this thread criticizing Ann Coulter.
I have a right to EXPECT conservatives to be decent and accurate........and that has nothing to do with criticizing liberals, which I do a thouand times more than I criticize conservatives.
Who I like? Charles Krauthammer and Fred Barnes..........for whatever it's worth. I'm a CONSERVATIVE. Gergen and Carlson are not.
But for whatever else it's worth, I don't put a whole lot of stock in anyone who talks or writes for a living. They can say whatever they want, with no obligation to act on anything.
President Bush, like President Reagan, has to put his conservativism into practice, and I respect THEM for doing so. Rubber meeting the road kind of thing.
I like LEADERSHIP. Talking heads and columnists don't lead. They just talk.
LOL! NOW who's being hyperbolic?
Patton was a real life HERO.........saved lives, saved freedom, killed the bad guys.....
Coulter's a real life talker. NO comparision.
She's a historian, constitutionalist, humorist, and cultural observer and Democrats' bane who loves this country and it's traditions...
As for this............when she attacks others on the right, she's an absolute JOY to the Democrats.
If she'd stick with zinging the left, she'd still have my respect.
My guess is that she wasn't getting enough attention, so she turned on her own. Much better press that way, you know? Sorta like McCain......
YOU think she's too skinny too, don't you? ;)
oooOOOooo!
"Elistist" being the operative damning word.
Sorry, I do not like her. I see her as a two faced person in order to sell her books. First of all the bitch needs to eat a biscuit, second of all she does not have an open opinion of what is going on today.
It's all about Coulter not the public.
I know I will be called a leftist but I am not. I am a recovering Dem who has voted for GW twice. I just do not like her holier than though opinion, and yes she has some kind of eating disorder.
Ann is in dire need of a big plate of potatoes and sausage gravy admistered twice a day until further notice.

Exactly. And when the elitism is turned on solid conservatives whom Ann deigns inferior to herself, it really stinks.
I wonder how much her friendship with Bill Maher has anything to do with her turning her vitriol from liberals (where it belongs) to fellow conservatives.
I agree. She's trying to get attention and sell books.
The irony is, that book reading conservatives (like me and a couple of hundred others right here on this forum who I'm sure represent thousands of others), have decided NOT to buy her books because she has turned on US.
It was a stupid financial decision to bite the hand that turns the pages of her books.....
And John Roberts.
You and your wallet are not missed.
