WEEK 6, Feb. 04,2006, Olney,MD After Action Report: We outnumbered the Quakers!!
Trooprally | Feb. 08,2006 | [Mr ]Trooprally

Posted on 02/08/2006 2:20:02 PM PST by trooprally

"HOLD MY UMBRELLA" was all I heard from someone behind me. I turned and had the handle of an opened umbrella handed to me and this guy, Bruce, determinedly crossed over to the leftist corner. He spent about 15 minutes over there, engaging each of the four leftist.

He came back to our side and thanked us for being there. Lurker Joan & I talked with Bruce for about 15 more minutes. Upon leaving he went over to Justanobody, Lurker Bill and iMacMan and thanked each of them for being there.

I have a contact for Bruce and hopefully he'll be out again.

Bruce also gave us the umbrella that he originally gave me. Now this is a real expensive, very large black umbrella, the type with two layers of canopy cloth so it retracts properly. Lurker Joan & I comfortably fit under it. Thank you Bruce.

If you counted above, excepting Bruce, there were 5 FReepers in attendance. But this was sufficient to finally out number the Quakers and old hippies. They had four for about 20 minutes, with 3 for the remainder of the time.

I think that Justanobody is the first three-FReeper. She attended Friday's Walter Reed FReep, Saturday's Protest Warrior/Freep at the White House and then Saturday afternoon Olney's FReep. (I discount myself as a three-FReeper since as organizer of the Olney FReep, I had to be there).

In no way though do I want to minimize those who were at the White House till 4 PM on Saturday and at WR's FReep. Those who stayed at the WH probable attended the longest FReep, from roughly 11 AM till 4+ PM. They put their personal safety on the line countering all those brown acid hippies. They were also in the rain while Justanobody and myself drove to Olney in a dry vehicle.

This week was fairly uneventful with the exception of Bruce. We put up our American flag and got rousing honks and waves. People are getting used to us being on the corner. They know that the leftist will not have Olney's corners to themselves.

iMacMan is the one who composed the now famous collage shown below. Apparently he has revised it slightly for the CPAC event this weekend in D.C. iMacMan, THANKS for you time.

Below: iMacMan and Lurker Joan

Below: The elusive Justanobody and Lurker Bill

Below: Quakers on other side of street. Not only did they forget an American flag, they forgot what umbrellas are for.

I hope to see more of us coming out this Saturday. Weather will be chilly, but not snowing or raining. If you are in D.C. for CPAC, come and join us. We are straight up Georgia Avenue from Walter Reed, a 25 minute drive.

REMEMBER next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108, same time, 3 PM to 4:30 PM

Thanks for performing this soggy duty. I didn't know that Justa had swallowed a shyness pill.
As far as the clueless opposition - well that picture says it all.

Just did a search on PeaceActionMC to see what they are up to. There were two of the previous Threads on Olney listed. I mentioned them on the Thread. Does this make Olney famous?

Also, on Feb. 14 at 2:00 they listed a protest at the Silver Spring Recruitment Center. A group called Raging Grannies are going to attempt to enlist. Looks like another FReep in the air.

Raging Grannies! Now that is something I would join...and go and serve too!!

Darn, that is a good idea!

Thanks for the great report and I am glad they were outnumbered...Don't we all just have to love "justanobody"?

Check this tagline!

The Quakers made excuses for Pol Pot as Pol Pot killed millions. Their spokesperson claimed the reports for an American smear.

It's one thing to deny genocide AFTER it happened, it's another to deny genocide AS it happens. The difference is the Quakers helped keep humanity from acting.

3'fer FReeper

Great tagline, I couldn't think of the just the right rhyme. Of course someone with a screen name of "3" D-JOY is just the right person to do it.
