A big-government, pro-abortion pol from NYC, who can't deliver his state to the Republican column, comes South. Save your cash, Rudy. Southerners deal with the slickest pols from infancy, and you won't fool them into thinking you're a conservative.

He's going to be the next president unless a strong, smart conservative emerges.

Rudy, the pro-abortion, pro-Gay, anti-gun, corrupt, control freak a-shole who is the candidate of choice for the lamestream media.
Once his stance on the issues is clarified, Rudy will get killed in the primaries. He is the Colin Powell of this election cycle, ie someone who is popular because the media kisses his a-s, but one who few know any specifics about.
If I here him milk 9/11 one more time, I am going postal.

Please GOP, don't let this be what you offer up for the 2008 election! There HAS to be a real conservative candidate out there somewhere to put our support behind. The names being offered up so far as serious contenders are no better than a high school student council president election which is always a popularity contest between the football captain/quarterback and the head cheerleader or glee club captain.

Sounds as authentic talking about faith as another New York City native, Howard Dean.

The number one issue is continuity in the war on terror. Rudy will deliver on that. I'd personally like to see Tommy Franks run. A Franks/Giuliani ticket might work.
To: areafiftyone
He needs to step away from Ralph Reed, or else he won't get the GA republicans in the long run.

. . . socially moderate conservatism . . . Anyone who thinks Rudy Giuliani is "socially moderate" is delusional.

Do us a favor, Rudy. No hard feelings, but head back home. We're ready for a conservative this time.

I only want two things out of a President:
- Cut entitlement spending
- Nominante justices who will vote to overturn Roe and restrict the use of the Insterstate Commerce Clause to, well, insterstate commerce
I think Rudy is probably the single best choice we have for #1. I'm not sure about #2. I will vote against him in the primaries, but I'll vote for him in the general election if I have to.

This Jersey guy is pulling hard for Allen. That being said, I grew up in around NYC before, during, and after Rudy. The man is a miracle worker. I experienced the turnaround first hand. While his stances on social issues are different than mine, he is better than any Dim by a mile. If he's the guy we better all do our part to help him. Sitting on the sidelines sulking is for children.

I just flat don't trust McCain on the most important issues.

I would cast my vote for Rudy in a heartbeat over anyone else I can see on the horizon, and especially over McVain.
I would like a Rudy/Allen ticket alot.
To: areafiftyone
The best thing Rudy has going for him in the south is that he talks -- and acts -- tough. If he travels the south long enough, he'll come around to the 2nd amendment and other issues Southerners hold dear.
