Two days before a King County deputy sheriff's live-in lover allegedly shot and killed a convenience-store clerk, he used the deputy's handcuffs and gun to rape a man in their Kenmore home while the cop slept upstairs, according to police reports.
The incident in August is one of many revelations regarding King County Sheriff's Deputy Ferenc Zana's disastrous affair with a mentally ill felon. They were contained in more than 900 pages of documents the Sheriff's Office was forced to produce Monday under a court order obtained by the Seattle P-I.

Including:
"The documents describe how Zana, a veteran King County deputy, contacted teenager Bistryski on the Internet and started a dating relationship with the schizophrenic felon with suicidal tendencies. They moved in together in June 2004."
and:
"The Sheriff's Office did as much as it could by warning Zana," said sheriff's spokesman Sgt. John Urquhart in an e-mail message to the P-I. "There is only so much any employer can do (especially a government employer) to delve into the private life of one of its employees. There is a limit on our authority to control the off-duty relationships of our deputies, like spouses, domestic partners or children. Remember, Chris (Bistryski) wasn't just a roommate. He was Zana's domestic partner, much like your wife or girlfriend."
And that's just "fer starters". Read it at your own risk.
Nice lifestyle, Barney.
"And that's just "fer starters". Read it at your own risk."
I thought you were being a little overly dramatic with the warning, but man this is one bizarre story.
Speechless. Absolutely speechless. The idiocy, compounded on idiocy. Give me a moment to pick my jaw up off the floor.
Bizarre fits....and grotesque and outlandish also come to mind.
And when you're done with that, surf on over to this thread.
I think this is the same uniformed freak that King County wanted to can ten years ago but were afraid to because he was a queer. Zana also claimed to be some sort of "psychic observer" or clairvoyant. Freakin loon. I hope the deceased family gets a big payout on this. This is the price we pay when liberal governments ram diversity down our throats
But I am suddenly alarmed that I am becoming jaded by this type of story. It sure seems this sheriff's department had lots and lots of warning, but didn't do a serious intervention.
Where was the concern for the safety of the public?
'Serve and Protect', .... my a$$.
that's what you get with a community that tolerates-no, promotes-immoral, unethical, anti-social behavior and uses PC tactics to hire and promote law officers. talk about strong executive leadership here by these two female "majors."
Records show deputy's troubled past
Zana, whose gun was used in slaying, guilty of missteps, violations
By ERIC NALDER
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER
The deputy whose .40-caliber handgun was used to kill convenience-store clerk Dimitri Imad Harb deserved to be fired 14 years ago, according to a memo written in 1991 by King County Sheriff Sue Rahr, then an internal-affairs lieutenant.
Ferenc Zana "does not possess the integrity to wear the uniform," Rahr stated in the memo, after an internal-affairs investigation found that Zana had given alcohol and his car to two minors who had an auto accident and then lied about it.
Zana promptly got into more trouble, yet he remained on the force -- despite concerns expressed by his fellow officers.

It's a worn out slogan. We'll be seeing more of this as long as liberal politicians are dictating the terms for hiring officers and more innocents will die when non qualified folks are hired. This is exactly what the libs want to do with the military too. If you get a minute, google "Chief David Brame" and read about what happened in Tacoma in 2003.
I found it on this page.....one of many links in the article.
Just the snub nose or the whole thing?
Sometimes I really wish crap like this was only found on "The Onion".
He has that certain look about him!!
And before I retire, it occurs to me that my poor taste post really does apply to 'officer' Zana. His a$$ is apparently being served and protected.
Goodnite
Seattle/King County = San Francisco-lite.
Yup!!
Give em a few more years and Frisco will be playing catch up
Sounds like a typical Democrat to me.
