After several Saturdays away from Olney, we (Mr & Mrs Trooprally) returned to a rousing welcome by having 12 dedicated FReepers, lurkers and family in Olney. The leftists had 15 but we are shaping their agenda. The backboneless leftist scurried (Read 'retreated' as Rep. Murtha likes to say) over to the northeast corner this week and even changed one of their signs after Bmwcyle criticized them about it last week.

They had enough during the last two weeks of trying to argue their lame reasons for "Peace Now". At least with the two groups separated, we could tell who got the most thumbs up, honks and waves. IT WAS US FOR SURE THIS TIME. We did get a recorded number (2) of people yelling obscenities out of their car windows.

Those in attendance this week were: [Mr] & [Mrs] Trooprally, Doctor Raoul (Thanks for the Philly pretzels), Iraqikurd, Bmwcyle/Appleblossom and their 2 daughters, Jimmy Valentines Brother, Gate2wire, and Lurker Joan and Lurker Bill. Both L. Joan and L. Bill also happen to be locals.
I NEED TO PUT IN A CALL FOR FREEPERS NEXT WEEK SINCE MORE THAN SEVERAL FREEPERS SAID THEY COULD NOT BE THERE NEXT WEEK. Some of you may be down in D.C. to support Concretebob's call for action, but those who are not, we need your help in Olney. We (Mr & Mrs T) will be coming directly from D.C. to Olney next Saturday.
The weather was in the high 50s but a little windy. So while we had enough people to display the Walter Reed MOAB, the wind kept it down. I look forward to the day when the MOAB will be put up at the leftists corner, above their signs.
Iraqikurd was getting ready to put on his white robe and Osama mask (Courtesy of Dr. Raoul) when the police stopped him. Apparently down County (Silver Spring area) there is a problem with Arian white racist gangs and they did not want the impression that it has moved into Olney.

The police were there because I emailed them about our counter protest. Being involved in the community and knowing the police officers there by name, I felt it best for them to know who our group was.
I was fully expecting to have the MOAB up and really engaging the leftists, but with the wind and with the weenie leftists retreating to one corner, my plans were dashed. Hopefully next week.
Dr. Raoul was demonstrating his 'normal' protest panache with his gas mask on and holding his 'Hippies Smell' and 'Don't take the Brown Acid' double sided sign. He was a hit with passing cars. He also found a stage to work his wonders from, continuously pointing over to the leftists.

The highlight: When that young soldier stopped at the light(It's a long light).
He told JVb and me that he had just moved to town and the first thing he saw was an anti- U.S. protest. He thanked us for countering this protest and for showing our support for the Troops.
That's what it's all about after all.

We're outfitting Iraqikurd with the other Osama fashion statement, the one where 's wearing a green camo BDU top.
The white robe was more like a Star Wars Jedi Knight robe than a sheet, AND it was actual Iraqi garb.
But hey we'll make the switch and everybody will be happy. We try to be low maintenance for local law enforcement.
