Good Monday morning, fellow Freeper political junkies. One of the more ridiculous episodes of political theater is about to play itself out on the Senate floor, as the John Kerry-led democrats mount an exercise in political futility which will further expose their total irrelevance..So join us today, or drop in on occasion, for the festivities...
I wonder too. I'd love for Sandra Day O'Connor to step up to the microphone and say, "Enough, already! He's qualified!"
I'll wager that after the cloture vote, Kerry speaks "as if in morning business"
not yet .. give him time
The only reason this moron is a Senator is because his gay governor was caught giving patronage to his boyfriend.

I hope they pay attention the next time!
Which would be like Christmas in November. I can't imagine how pissed the moonbats will be if those numbers are the final results. If he doesn't have at least 60 votes to confirm, they will believe a filibuster could have succeeded and therefore the Dems let them down. They will be demoralized and either work against them in primaries or stay home in November. Thank you John Kerry! LMAO!
Besides the point. His Democrat constituents are just as angry with the whole process as he is.
LOL...I do understand that. With the moonbats on the loose, it does take lots of our energy in combat. ;o)
Bayh is going for the WH...and he won't run for re-election to the senate..
Not all those in favor of filibuster will vote for Alito but all those in favor of Alito will not vote for filibuster.
Sorry missed writing in your name in post to Mo1, please see my post 1584.
Website for Republican challenging Chaffe in the Republican Primary.
...and Corzine.
Abstention (from voting) is a cop-out. It's in effect a vote to filibuster and violates the Gang of 14 agreement. A few more such abstentions where we thought we had votes FOR cloture and we don't have the 60 votes. It ain't over 'till it's over.
Take off one Republican voting for cloture, since Sen. Ensign will not be able to vote. Still, the count as you have it matches what I have and, so, no worries!
Too bad they couldn't overrule and get Alito... that would be something. Hey, I know it's stupid... but they have to work with him the rest of their lives don't they?
"He must represent the values of New Jersey..."
What?? New Jersey got no values????
I'm wondering how Bayh will vote, being from a red state yet wanting to run for President.
