Gore says Canadian elections are about oil.
The Vancouver Sun | January 26 2006 | Karen Monk

Posted on 01/26/2006 2:26:02 PM PST by northernlightsII

"Former US vice-president AL gore urged Canadians to be vigilant over their new leader Stephen Harper in light of the newly elected prime minister's pro oil agenda. "The election in Canada was partly about the tar sands projects in Alberta....And the financial interests behind the tar sands projects poured a lot of money and support behind an ultra-conservative leader in order to win the election...and to protect their interests."... Gore said he wasn't surprised to hear about the absence of any tar sands talk during the last campaign,or even the oil lobby was pushing Harper's cause in influential financial circles, and lending it legitimacy. "Of course, you didn't hear about it," said Gore."media concentration has taken a toll on democratic principles around the world and Canada is no exception.

It's all about oil.

And Halliburton.

And it's Bush's fault!

What a maroon!

I think he's so stoned that he doesn't know who he's talking to. Drug-induced brain damage just starts with not knowing what you're talking about and Gore's gone to a different level.

You would think the Vice Perpetrator would get tired of going around the world explaining why the left lost.

Earth may be in the Balance, but Al Gore is certainly unbalanced.

Nobody talked about that issue, not a single party not even the Quebec separatists who have obviously no interest in the Alberta tar sands. The media, including one of the largest conglomerate,TV and print who had one of its top executive leading the Liberal party national campaign did not utter a word about it.....But it's all about oil and Canadians should be afraid, very afraid.
AL gore tin foil alert.
By the way he uttered these pronouncements from the Sundance Film Festival. The air is thin up there!

When those tar sands start to produce Al, expect the Conservatives to gain in popularity.

If Al was a Canadian, he would have argued against spoiling the Canadian tundra as Canadians froze or moved to Florida.

This guy Al knows everything about science.

...meanwhile oil prices are set to spike. I guess the poor (the people Gore cares about more than anyone else) are going to have to take another hit for the liberal agenda...

Iraq is all about the US taking over the tar sands...oh, wait, those areas are something like 8,000 miles apart (just what is that in kilometers?).

Seriously, it's time for Republican strategists to start paying the expenses to keep morons like algore on the cusp of the daily news. I can't think of a better way to have the Democrats join their communist soul mates on the ash heap of history.

Not that he's a hypocrite or anything, but I think Big Al forgot about his Big Oil heritage. I'm sure that he Occidentally overlooked that.

Wow, I cannot believe somebody who's considered a 'new democrat' and a presidential candidate only 6 years ago now talks like one of those conspiracy-minded leftwing nuts!
