Good heavens! I'm beginning to be glad we don't have grandchildren. What kind of future is it going to be for our kids?

"One of the three overarching goals for the Healthy People 2000 prevention initiative was to reduce health disparities among Americans.1 The framework of Healthy People 2010 has taken this a step further by proposing to 'eliminate health disparities' as one of the two primary goals for the next decade."
If not too much trouble, can you give me a one or two sentence comment on the significance of this quotation? (I'm just joining the topic today.) Thank you. I'm working on group targeting a specific health condition, and one of the members is adamant about including the wording "reduce health disparities" to the point that I'm suspicious of the motive. Now, today I see your post.

When you put that statement, 'eliminate health disparities', into google, it seems to have turned into a political buzzword. IMO, it seems to be tied to a racial and ethnic innuendo;I'm very leery about our government. The more I hear the more I think they want to turn us all into puppets to do their bidding. America sure isn't the America I grew up in!

It looks as though the phrase, "eliminate health disparities" has the same underlieing meaning as the phrase "economic justice".
Which IMO, means more Reds under the bed, a new socialist attack from another direction.

It's a full-blow Nanny State tsunami.
Why, the otherwise unemployable are now guaranteed careers in the fields of hectoring, pestering, demonizing, condescending, lying with statistics, fear-mongering and generally reducing the quality of life for freedom lovers.

One of their important objectives:
"Increase the average Federal and State tax on tobacco products. (Objective 27-21)"
Otherwise known as perpetuating their no-heavy-lifting jobs.

It's Hillarycare in tiny nano-sized bits, but just as dangerous. I had no idea that Klintoon started the nano tech boom. Read the beaurocratic fine print in the article. It looks a bit like the re-start of hundreds of FDR's alphabet agencies that will control and re-make all life forms in the near future.
