This morning, Senators will question Judge Alito during a third round. They will then go into a closed session, to review the FBI background investigation on the Supreme Court nominee. Outside witnesses may be called to testify this afternoon, as well as the American Bar Association, to discuss its recommendations.

Hence the recognition of the room for differing opinions. My take on Lindsay in these hearings is that it has been much more about HIM than anything else. I do agree he is at least firmly on our side in this one, for which I am grateful.

I think that there is room for a difference of opinion on Graham's performance in these hearings.

Graham seemed to me to be not only calling Bush a criminal for the NSA bru-ha-ha but actually calling for the death penalty for him for the "torture" of terrorists.

Me: I suspect Kennedy will not take any time today. He's been beat, both by his fishing expedition on the Rusher papers, and on his character attack related to Vanguard. Kennedy's done excpet for objecting yet again from the floor of the Senate.

Color me wrong yet again!! At least he's off the Vanguard/CAP line of attack and on to something that is legally substantive.
