Day 4: Hearing Resumes
This morning, Senators will question Judge Alito during a third round. They will then go into a closed session, to review the FBI background investigation on the Supreme Court nominee. Outside witnesses may be called to testify this afternoon, as well as the American Bar Association, to discuss its recommendations.

You know, listening to the back and forth about whether you've been responsive to questions reminds me of a saying that I heard recently. I can answer the question, but I can't understand it for you.
Just to make sure that lurkers here get to read something that really stood out on yesterday's Live thread:
A freeper reported that some time ago, Brit Hume testified about something before the Senate. That evening, Brit reported that Ted Kennedy was wearing a wire throughout the entire hearing with a staffer/aide feeding him questions to ask Brit.
Inquiring minds want to know -- does Teddy still wear a wire?
Wind bag just getting face time.
I'm hardly Lindsey's biggest fan. All you have to do is check my profile to see that. But he's actually sounded like a conservative in the hearings. What he'll do after the hearings, however, I don't know.
Arlen looks bright eyed and bushy tailed today, that fight with Kennedy seemed to pump him up.
"He's either a mummy or a vampire."
Acually, Leahy always gives me the impression of a clown who couldn't get all his makeup off -- something about his mouth.
"My hubby saw a mouse in our house.
Anyone have tips on ridding us of it while we are waiting?"
name it and convince yourself it is cute.
Probably?????? Meirs on her best day could not even come close to Alito on his worst day.
Alito so far is clearly the best of the three nominiees.
Alito has so much more substance than Roberts does as far as the questions go.
LOL! "I'm Senator Patrick Leahy for Lunesta."
Dont have it on, using internet for other stuff.
MSNBC host broke away when Specter was starting to set Leahy straight on his questioning.
A blog reported last night that even Kennedy staffers were surprised when he pulled his stunt yesterday because they'd already researched this, had read the NYT article, etc., and they all knew darned well there was no there there.
It's clear that Kennedy just pulled this stunt for headlines and to appease his far left base.
Those staffers finished looking through the Rusher records at 2AM........and all for nothing. Kennedy owes them for those sleepless hours BIG TIME.
IT would be funny if they were questioning Meirs. I would liked to have seen that.
Kennedy up for 25 minutes. AAARGH
Swimmer is on...
I had a basset hound that would catch mice. If they were small enough, he would swallow them whole.
Drunken Swimmer Alert!
You know, Sphincther has done a good job, but he is an *&**%#.
