She wasn't aloud to talk to the PRESIDENT? oh- no of course she didn't mean that-- she meant- becuase she wasn't allowed to run to a tv camera and a microphone...LOL! HOW BUSTED! So her ONLY job is to spin n the media? Not to actually confront or solve issues in Congress? SO BUSTED!
If she were doing her job- the TV has nothing to with it... if you are concerned about what the President is doing, talk to the PRESIDENT! DUH!

He has the weigh up his duties as President of the whole of the United States and that of a Republican President not an easy thing to do IMHO.

Agreed - he is carrying a tremendous burden and the constant daily attacks by all his enemies. I pray daily there will not be an attempt on him like in the radical '60s.

I'm not nearly Cheney's age/weight but I had it... or something like it... on my big toe. I thought I broke it(honestly)... but never remembered banging it. After about a week... it just went away.
The MSM hates Bush... but they DESPISE Cheney!

Just popping in here to let y'all know that that Murtha townhall meeting where the soldier told him off started replaying a few minutes ago on C-Span.
It started at about 10:50am ET, and it's not showing on the C-span schedule right now, but I think it's about 2-1/2 hours long. Don't know when the soldier speaks, but thought people might want a heads-up it was on again if you didn't already know.

Unfortunately the attacks are not just from the left the radical right do their fair share as well, totally forgetting as well as being "their" President he is also head of State and therefore represents worldwide all the American people.

Even the media people don't seem to understand our soldiers or their families. Someone on Fox just interviewed a soldier's wife asking questions as if she is some victim.
Compassion's OK, but please hold the pity - Proud Deployed Soldier's Brave Wife on such thoughts
The fact that my husband is on military deployment in Iraq does not make me unfortunate........ there is a misconception that having my husband away on a military deployment makes me unfortunate. Please do not consider me unfortunate! Consider, just for a moment, that I might be incredibly blessed.
..........I'm on a journey that is unveiling a beautiful level of self-confidence. I believe that I am at a time in my life where God has my full attention to teach me what he feels I need to learn.
My circumstances may be demanding from time to time, yet I have never fallen from grace into a forgotten, subpar state of being. I, most definitely, am not unfortunate.
Read in full & be proud of our best.

And the dems fear Cheney, one of the reasons they attack him ahead of Bush because to impeach Bush without first removing Cheney gives them their worst nightmare. President Cheney.
IMHO the Libby affair is really an attempt to oust the VP to then go after the President should the midterm elections go their way.

Seems Newsmax got it wrong about Risen's book
Russert just read a portion of the book and they were supposedly "fake" blueprints of nukes that Clinton gave to Iran .. not real ones

It 's fooloish for republican rules to let a vindictive dem.prosecutor using republican rules push him out of his job & clout.
GOP Backs Off Ethics Rule Change
WASHINGTON, Jan. 3, 2005 ... Republicans gave no indication before the meeting that the indictment rule would be changed. Even more surprising was DeLay's decision to make the proposal himself.
Jonathan Grella, a DeLay spokesman, said DeLay still believed it was legitimate to allow a leader to retain his post while under indictment. But Grella said that by reinstating the rule that he step aside, DeLay was "denying the Democrats their lone issue. Anything that could undermine our agenda needs to be nipped in the bud."
Grella said Republicans did not know that DeLay would make the proposal. "He was doing some thinking and this was the conclusion he came to," the spokesman said. Hastert made the proposal to retain the current standards of conduct.

Risen just got done pushing his book to Russert. He is a major league stuffed shirt who only cares about himself, IMHO. Do you really think that he will go to prison to protect his source? I don't.

Thanks for that link it always amazes me how the media approaches this issue.
Though nowadays not directly connected to any military those I have known in the past know what they are getting into when they join and do so knowing that unfortunately they may loose their lives as a result of doing what they believe in.
This is something that the media cannot grasp that a military life often means sacrifice both in time away from family and also in actual loss of life or serious injury but those that do it, do it willingly and do it knowingly - they are not sheep blindly being rounded up by a barking sheep dog following each other.

Wow, Kristol really got mad at Juan for what he called a smear on Alito. Juan said basically that Alito was always for business and against minorities. Bill says there is no evidence of that at all. Keep in mind. Mona and Juan work for NPR, i.e. the public teat. Kristol and Krauthammer work for real businesses.
