And the dems fear Cheney, one of the reasons they attack him ahead of Bush because to impeach Bush without first removing Cheney gives them their worst nightmare. President Cheney.

IMHO the Libby affair is really an attempt to oust the VP to then go after the President should the midterm elections go their way.

Speaking of Libby, here's this week's Media Nuggets with something about Libby too.

##### Not long ago getting a job in NYTimes is every jounos. dream. That was then. Marc Kramer who was senior Vice President resigns from NYTimes and joins New York Daily News as CEO. This is now.

##### THE New York Observer, in circulation & revenue falling down fast & looking for a buyer.

##### New York Sun will soon be a freebee.

##### Al Hunt, Bloomberg's executive editor& liberal hires another liberal Margaret Carlson.

##### Bush appointed Myrna Blyth to be Chairman of the President's Commission on White House Fellowships. She is former long-time editor of Ladies' Home Journal and author of Spin Sisters: How the Women of the Media Sell Unhappiness — and Liberalism — to the Women of America.

##### Embattled Washington Post is launching a new radio news station, hoping it will stop it's slide in circulation of WP.

##### Hudson Institute hires Scooter Libby as Senior Fellow, with the same pay he earned at WH.

##### Liberal New Republic's ciculation dropped from100,000 range in 2001 to the low 50,000 now. It's editor-in-chief Martin Peretz supports Bush on defense & foreign policy. Surprising that Wash.Post & NYTimes are to the left of it.

##### Howard Stern to Get $220M in Sirius Stock. Doen't matter for MSM. It is a crime if he is big oil or whatever businessman who employs 1000s of workers.

##### Michael Ramirez, conservative editorial cartoonist let go by the Los Angeles Times effective Dec. 31, has joined Investor's Business Daily as a senior editor/editorial cartoonist.
