The band took the name from Huxley's novel. He in his turn took it from John Milton's poem
Samson Agonistes:
Ask for this great Deliverer now, and find him
Eyeless in Gaza, at the mill with slaves,
Himself in bonds under Philistian yoke.

"It wasn't supposed to be like this". When civilization concedes to barbarity, civility is never the result. (Just posting to change tag line).

You must have left out CNN ending line "And it's all.. (Insert George Bush or Isreal)'s fault!"
Another quote from the article:
"There is also the claim from some Palestinian officials that Israel decimated the Palestinian security forces during the past few years of fighting, rendering Gaza's police impotent."
You see, it is all Israel's fault after all!!

Violent people are violent people.
If their preferred target (Israel) has left town or is unavailable, then they kick the crap out of each other.
Gaza is like hell, except hotter and with more demons.

"Enjoy that Palestinian self-rule, folks!"
I'm with you. Screw 'em.

I'm reminded of the old saying, which is perfect for this situation:
"You bought it. You paid for it. It's yours."

but, but, didn't Yassar win the Nobel Peace Prize.
How could anything be wrong once the nasty Jew's were forced to leave?
It should be like the Garden of Eden.

How long before they setup a Taliban style regime with terrorist training camps? What action will Israel and the US take when this happens?

In other news: second apple has fallen on the head of Sir Isaac Newton. "This confirms the law of gravity", said the prominent scientist.

Its like...yeah....If they ranked peoples as to their contribution to human civilization..I do believe the PAs would be at the bottom or vying for last place. Theyve contributed DONUT HOLE to mankind and in fact continue to leave stains on the great human experience.

I don't think I'd be upset if the "gazaians"(well, it's as accurate as calling them palestinians) blew themselves off the face of the map.

No, it would not be mean spirited, but in the nature of a learned discussion. As Aristotle taught, it is in the nature of beasts to behave beastly.

I guess it's best that Palis kill each other..the more the better. Now they can't blame anyone but themselves...the real cause of violence in the region.
