Gaza spirals into lawlessness

Random kidnappings. Daily exchanges of gunfire between police and armed militants. Different neighborhoods patrolled and controlled by competing militias.
It appears as if Gaza has degenerated into anarchy.
In just the past 10 days in the 146-square-mile territory (about twice the size of Washington, D.C.):
- Three Palestinian government offices were occupied by gunmen.
- Armed militants detonated explosives in a United Nations club.
- Three British nationals were kidnapped at gunpoint.
- An Italian man was abducted.
- Two rival families unloaded weapons at each other in a personal dispute.
- A Palestinian police officer was killed in a shootout between police and militants.
- The Palestinian-controlled border crossing was shut down by police angry at the death of their colleague, prompting European Union monitors to leave.
- Palestinian police took over government offices in their continuing protest.
- Israel launched air strikes on suspected terrorist targets.
Gaza was not supposed to turn out this way.

Can't be -- the only place in the world where there are kidnappings and bombings on a regular basis is Iraq. CNNBCBSABCPMSNBCNewYorkTimesWaPo (and, for my local comrades, TimesTribPlanet) told me so...

I remember the day the Jewish settlers moved out. They looted and destroyed everything the settlers had built and were forced to leave behind. Idiot's ate their seed corn, screw 'em.

There's basically only one halfway rational solution to the problem of "palestinians" (other than extermination...): At some point, the slammite world has to be forced to find some place to put them, at least 500 miles from Israel. The slammite world, unlike the tiny sliver of land called Israel, is more than adequate for such a thing, particularly considering that they found room for 60 million Pakestanis without blinking an eye.

Including the greenhouses which would have provided sustenance and part of an economy. I predict we'll soon be hearing an outcry from the media about the plight of the starving Palestinians, including Nina Totenberg and that fathead "opinion" guy on CNN about how it's all Bush's fault.
Thank God I don't have cable anymore.

There was a late 70's band aptly named Eyeless in Gaza.
Gaza has been anarchic for quite some while folks.
To: samadams2000
The MSM which is always defending their Bush-bashing crap as being "honest" don't have the nads to call the Palestinians what they are--the world's crybabies. It's like a nation populated solely by the Democrat party's base.

Oops, forgot to post. Now that Gaza is "free of Jews", it makes it much easier to nuke it till it glows. Why not take out the entire mess in one swoop? The whole dump is nothing but a festering cesspool of terrorists and wannabes, armed to the hilt. Israel should consider some serious landscaping of Gaza before it gets any worse.

Gaza was not supposed to turn out this way.HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
The last time I heard that was when South Africa was turned over to Mandela and Co. A newly-elected black politician was asked about the rising anarchy in the post-apartheid country, and all he could say was, "It wasn't supposed to be like this".
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
