There was a late 70's band aptly named Eyeless in Gaza.

Gaza has been anarchic for quite some while folks.

The band took the name from Huxley's novel. He in his turn took it from John Milton's poem Samson Agonistes:

Ask for this great Deliverer now, and find him
Eyeless in Gaza, at the mill with slaves,
Himself in bonds under Philistian yoke.
