U.S. allies withdraw from Iraq

KIEV, Ukraine (AP) -- The U.S. coalition in Iraq saw its size dwindle Tuesday as Ukraine and Bulgaria said all of their troops had left the country while Poland said it would remain, but reduce its number of troops by 600 next year.
The Polish government's decision, which must be approved by President Lech Kaczynski, would be a boost for U.S. President George W. Bush, who has faced withering criticism at home and abroad over his handling of the Iraq war and the growing insurgency there.
Polish Prime Minister Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz said keeping troops there longer would support "the growing democratization of life" in Iraq after the country's constitutional referendum and parliamentary elections.
"We would like to gradually carry the pullout of Polish troops from Iraq, not in an abrupt way, but gradually," he told reporters in Warsaw.

Impossible, we went in alone remember!
Obviously, the Iraqi military is capable of handling the regions where these troops were deployed.
I am glad that the hope for a free middle east is still abundant in Poland.
God bless the true allies of the US.
They have been such staunch allies throughout this entire ordeal. We could ask for no better friends.
I hope the Bush Administration is keeping track of all this.
Growing? If by "growing" they mean "failing" then they are right. The brazenness of the press is now unbelievable. Its not bias anymore but open and unapologetic partisanship.
Not only that they make it seem as if they are leaving because the war is unpopular. An important note is they are leaving and we arent asking them to stay because they are not needed anymore.
Growing insurgency? Seems to be a DWINDLING insurgency to me. More wishful thinking from the Red Press.

The one thing the MSM just doesn't understand, is that the Shiites have now been given 3 years to prepare themselves to expel 90,000 Palestinians and take their revenge against the Baathists.
The Coalition wasn't supposed to do that. It was the job of the Coalition to prepare the SHIITES to do that.
And it is probably now the job of the Coalition to get out of the way and let the Shiites do the work.
Imagine if the new Shiite Government demanded that we give most of the 20,000 Sunni prisoners to them. We would have to do that. And if they wanted to execute a lot of them? Well, it is their country.
If Bush wanted to, he could get the American left BEGGING him to keep troops in Iraq. Bush would only have to phrase things differently. But he cannot of course. He couldn't say "We want the Shiites to attack the Sunnis". And the MSM is too stupid to see that this is what the 800 lb gorilla in the room is.
