I had read about this kind of thing happening in Sweden, but not in the other countries. And if a young woman gets raped there by a Muslim, what do the polic do? Let the guy call his friends and scare the cops off again and he never gets arrested? This is absolutely astounding.

There are areas in most of the Scandanavian countries where this type of crime is happening. There are Muslim communities in these countries where the EMS and police services won't even go anymore. FrontPage Magazine has done a fairly good job of covering these stories.
My daughter and wife will soon be taking the concealed carry class. They will be carrying 38 specials, but perhaps they could dip the rounds in pig grease just to be sure.
It is either that, or we must surrender meekly to these barbarians forsaking our freedom, liberty and all we hold dear!
I heartily recommend the book "Behind the Veil" by Geraldine Brooke, written in the 90's about life for women in Islamic countries, particularly the rape issue. (Of course some of her harshest words were against Israel???!!!) There are none so blind as those who will not see
I've been mulling this over. I think what we're trying to find out in Iraq and Afghanistan is if islam can either be compatible or co-exist with civilization. In my opinion, best case scenario is that they can co-exist with civilization. They'll always be blowing eachother apart and raping their women and beasts of the field, but as far as blowing up our embassys and flying jets into our buildings, that won't happen much.
They'd better hope they can acheive that not so lofty goal, because the alternative is going to involve about 1.2 billion "people" dispatched to hell.

During some time in Los Angeles, I noticed that Mavis Leno (Jay Leno's wife)
appeare a couple times a year on talk radio (KABC 790AM, IIRC).
She was always speaking at great length about the brutal the life of
women in Taliban-run Afghanistan. These appearances were not uncommon
during 1995-2000.
MAYBE I missed it, but after 9-11 and the liberation (relatively)
of the women in Afghanistan...I never heard her on LA talk radio again.
Maybe Ms. Leno has issued some sort of "thank you" to Dubya and
"A Few Good Men" (and women and members of different military branches)
for saving the Afghani women from The Taliban Reign of Terror...
but I certainly never heard/saw it.

PS: I did enjoy needling liberal colleagues by saying "isn't it
