I'll bet there'll be plenty of Ali's and Mohammed's in that pool of persons.

Regardless of their last names, if the authorities were led to them by means of wiretaps, then I say, along with the 'RATS and the NY Slimes: LET THEM GO FREE !!!

Pick any rural names, it doesn't matter. If you're implying that they're of Middle Eastern heritage, I'd have to say you're giving far too much credit.
I mean, look at the history of terrorism involved - blind luck plays a pretty important role. That those explosives might have been sold to someone from the Middle East bent on terrorism is far, far more likely than they doing it themselves.
Plus the obscurity of the site lends towards someone on the local side pointing it out, and probably Internet buddies who actually committed the crime.

Whoa, slow down hoss. Lot's of reasons to want explosives. Plenty of industrial, construction and mining reasons. They are very expensive and highly regulated. Therefore some will steal. However explosives are not inherently evil, neither are guns, rat poison or claw hammers.

The ABC radio network news lead with this story without any mention of the names or affiliation of the suspects. It immediately followed this story with the monitoring of the mosques.

"Anyone want to guess the origins of their last names????" It might be safe to say it highly unlikely names like Buckingham, Van Quackenbush, Seinfeld nor Silverman will pop up.

I think these were scum of the earth good-ole-boy crooks given where they were found and the little I've read about it so far.
