I met Rob Schnieder in Iraq.
I was able to see Robin Williams as well.
I could have gone to Toby Keith but I didn't get there.
Quite a few celebs have been there, but there is NO excuse for some of them, especially those that haven't gone yet.

The days are coming when the so called celebrities are going to get their comeuppance.
I see a lot of things on the Internet, and support for the Troops is high, despite that not being reflected in the media.
We are no longer living in the days of the nickelodeons where people will pay to see absolutely anything.
Hollywood has not recognized that fact yet, but they shall...and soon

But many of the USO's regular performers are fierce critics of the war, among them the comic and star of Good Morning Vietnam, Robin Williams, who told USA Today he would like to return to the Middle East in the spring for what would be his fourth tour since 2002. "I'm there for the [troops], not for W," he said in a reference to the president. "Go, man. You won't forget it. You'll meet amazing people," is his message to stars that ask him about the tours. But the comedian said he mostly tries to keep politics out of the show after he did a few jokes about Bush's brainpower at a base in 2003 and got a chilly reception...Other critics of the war who regularly perform include the leftwing comedian Al Franken (who is headlining the current tour along with Christian hip-hop group Souljahz) and the punk legend and actor Henry Rollins, one of the Bush administrations most vocal critics. In my military carer I was never in harm's way. If I had been and these clowns (or this ilk) came to put on a show, I would have skipped it. I would rather have climbed into my crib and read the Bluejacket Manual.

Lefties are always telling me they support the troops, even if they don't support the war in Iraq.
Yeah.

The tradition of beautiful women thrilling the troops has continued - although while Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell showed up in Korea and Vietnam could boast Raquel Welch, in Iraq they have had to make do with sometime pop singer and reality TV star Jessica Simpson. Pffft. I'd "make do" with Jessica every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

These are the same idiots who will say they don't support the war but they do support the troops. An impossible combination they claim is possible.

This is proof of my lifelong contention that every person on earth has some redeeming characteristic or value.
Incidentally, four generations of my family have been entertained while in uniform overseas by Bob Hope. WWII through the Gulf War. I guess I don't need to tell you that we have a high opinion of Bob Hope.

Did the Guardian mention is was probably because Hollywood is going broke? These losers can't even pull an audience into the theaters to see their third class drivel, why would our heroes be interested in seeing them even if it was for free?

Hollywood sinks to a new low. It's hard to know which is further in the sewer--Hollywood or The Guardian--or which is more representative of decadence.

The overpaid stars are RACIST!!
Just because the people over there are not like us, they don't want or deserve freedom.
Think about it.

There are NO stars today. Just second rate has been actors and actresses. That's all.
