December 22, 2005 -- Australian government's travel advisory and consular assistance service has issued a terror alert for Bosnia on Tuesday citing a growing risk of a terrorist attacks and violent crime.

"Terrorism is a threat throughout the world. There is a risk of terrorist attack in Bosnia and Herzegovina," says the Australian advisory. "We advise you to exercise caution and monitor developments that might affect your safety in Bosnia because of the risk of being caught up in incidents associated with ethnic tension or criminal activity, including violent attacks," says the advisory.
A number of Bosnian Muslims have been arrested in Australia and in Bosnia on suspicion of planning terrorist attacks.
On November 11, Australian police arrested Mirsad Mulahalilovic, a Bosnian Muslim national with a group of seven men in Sydney suspected of making explosives to be used to blow up a nuclear reactor in Sydney.
Also last month in Bosnia, local authorities have arrested two bomb makers, one a Swedish national of Bosnian origin, Mirsad Bektasevic, and a Turkish man, Cesur Abdulkadir. In a raid on their flat, police found a suicide vest, weapons and extremist Islamist propaganda. It is believed that Bektasevic was an internet recruiter for Zarqawi.
According to the Bosnian Serb Republic Minister of Internal Affairs, Darko Matijasevic, there are 1,800 individuals in Bosnia that have terror links of some kind. Of them, about 800 were granted Bosnian citizenship after arriving from Islamic states and the other 1,000 are native Muslims.
Serbian terrorism expert, Darko Trifunovic says that this growing number of native Bosnians that are involved in the world islamic terror network is consistent with the objectives of al-Qaeda to recruit more Muslims of a European origin.
"These Bosnian Muslim recruits are very valuable to al-Qaeda because they do not look middle eastern so they can blend easily within a European society," says Political Science professor Miroljub Jevtic.
"These Bosnian Muslims are the so-called 'the white al-Qaeda'," says Jevtic.
Australian travel advisory also warns of a growing violent crime in Bosnia.
"There is an increasing incidence of violent crime in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including organised shoot-outs and explosive attacks. Firearms and explosives are widely available. The number of muggings and home robberies is also on the increase."
From the article:

And this is the time, when Congress wants to stop the Bush Administration from monitoring phonecalls and e-mails of suspected terrorists...

Unit 8 Investigation: Nuclear terror threat to Portland?

"We calculate up to 40% of the population of Portland would be casualties, would be killed or injured in a 10-kiloton nuclear detonation in the heart of the city."
By mckinzie's calculations, 140,000 people would die or be injured.
"It's just unbelievable," says McKinzie.
The blast would create an electro-magnetic pulse, like a lightning bolt, a pulse that would cripple all electronics within three miles. Emergency communications would crumble.

Clinton's legacy - a gift that keeps on giving (R)
Exactly. Clinton supported the wrong side.

Serbian terrorism expert, Darko Trifunovic says ...
I wish more people in Washington would listen to what he says.
The won't help 'em in the States. The (PC)TSA mostly searches white males anyway.
Bosnia is only one of the two bases of operation for al Qaeda brought to you by William Jefferson Clinton.

[Foreign Exchange with Fareed Zakaria, December 23, 2005, interviewing UK author Nafeez Ahmed]
Fareed Zakaria: But weve stopped for a long time, right; the United States and Britain have for years now been actively opposing Al Qaeda, but they--they still continue, right. But youre saying we created a Frankensteins monster?
Nafeez Ahmed: Im saying something worse; Im saying that many ties with--with the Mujahideen have actually continued into the--into the post-Cold War period in--in different forms. We didnt just completely disconnect ourselves after the collapse of the Soviet Union and there are many examples to this I discuss in the book. The example in the Balkans; its been confirmed from the official Dutch inquiry on the--Srebrenica Report--that showed that the Pentagon had arranged the flight of--of Mujahideen into--into the Bosnian conflict, obviously to--to move the conflict in a certain direction. Now whatever the--the interests were that were behind that whether they were sincere intentions or not that was a big mistake; in the end Bosnia became what has been described as a safe-haven for terrorists and has been--and has--within Europe itself, you know there is--Bosnia has become a problem. And again, with--in the Balkans
