The one I'm talking about is skinny and look exactly like his father except he has corn-rows.

Just horrible. So young too. A flirtation with perfection erased by the most horrible thing a father could endure.
What a horrible thing to happen to such a great guy.

-- I'm not surprised, it can happen to anyone. I had a boss that would get called away from the office alot. Turns out his son would have some type of problem and eventually od'd one day on coke (not cocacola). I don't know if he survived.
In another case, i had a HS teacher that his son commited suicide by shooting himself. Some kids are just unstable, no matter how loving or caring the parents/society is. It's just a fact we all need to understand and we can move on. I'm not trying to be heartless but as long as they don't take anyone else with them i don't have a problem.

I have immense respect for Tony Dungy. For years he was an excellent assistant coach, but did not get chosen for a head coaching role because at that time NFL Teams did not hire Black coaches. Many people spoke up and pointed to Tony as an example of the unfair bias, but Tony never complained. When he got his chance, he was successful in Tampa Bay and now highly successful in Indianapolis. Through it all, he exuded nothing but class and grace. It's tragic for any parent to lose a child this way; it's even worse when it happens to such a fine person as Tony.

Tony Dungy says that being a father is his most important job. And just like his football career, being a dad is a job that keeps him very busy. Coach Dungy and his wife Lauren have five children. Coach Dungys fatherhood role model is his own dad, Wilber Dungy. Tony grew up in Michigan, and says his father was always there to support him and encourage him. From him, Tony says, he learned that being a good father takes commitment and compassion. Since his work schedule keeps him on the go, Coach Dungy tries to spend extra time with his children whenever he can. When his schedule permits, he takes the children to school and picks them up, making the most of that one-on-one time. Coach Dungy also has his older sons James and Eric join him on the sidelines during football games, so he can share his work experiences with them. Quite simply, Coach Dungy loves being a dad, and says a good friend gave him some very important advice years ago, that he still tries to live by. The advice is this: fathers need to cherish whatever stage their children are in, instead of wishing for the next one to hurry up and get here
because before you know it, that stage will be over, never to return again.

Oh great, now the attorney just came by and said James didn't go to Park Tudor...he was thinking of the middle son, who is in Park Tudor where the rest of the Dungy kids attend. You are correct. A thousand pardons, sir...:)
To: Frapster
Oh my, that's horrible.
Dungy is one of the best, classiest guys in all of football.
This is tragic. Horrible.

That snopes article cites one county in America only. Not very conclusive.
"Suicide is not linked to holidays, at least not in Minnesota's Olmsted County."
What about the folks outside of Olmsted county?!

Didn't he lose his father last year?

"No, don't bother to reply ........ just figure it out for yourself."
Get off your moral high horse. My comment meant simply that opening the Christmas presents left behind by the deceased woman was very painful.
To: lesser_satan
I'm not sure. Man, I hope not.

How awful. Just saw a photo of "James" and he was one very handsome young man. Tragic.
