Officials are very concerned about these thefts.

"Officials" need to pay for their blunders, by losing their jobs, and retirements, and be brought up on charges of criminal neglect. Perhaps if there were consequences for their actions, they might understand why they make the big money as supervisors and managers.....

Dont worry the Patriot Act will expire soon. The terrorists will be protected and Nancy Pelosi will be in charge.

If conservatives controlled the news, and were as scurrilous as the left, the headline would read "Explosives missing from mismanaged Democrat state".

Sheet Explosive

Known by many trade names, such as Metabel, Deta sheet, Series 1000 - PETN sheet explosive, and Series 2000 - RDX sheet explosive. These plastic bonded explosives have a very high brisance and detonating velocity. Sheet explosive is in most cases the explosive of choice for the tactical loading of the HYDRO CUT Entry and Gun Port Frames. Sheet explosive is supplied in North America in rolls which are a standard 10” wide. Depending on the thickness of the sheet explosive it is supplied as two X 10 pound rolls per box, or two X 20 pound rolls per box.

(snip tabular information)

Sheet explosive should be cut with a knife, not with scissors or shears to avoid potential injury. Both Series 1000 and Series 2000 are cap sensitive explosives.

A pound of any explosive is a lot. Depends how it is used.

A governor who's a former Clinton Administration official, for starters.

You are correct sir...........pubies and democraps won't wake up and smell the coffee until a terrorist parks a truck with a nuke in front of the Capital Building. They really don't have a clue.......I'm just waiting for next attack so I can say "I told you so."

Two things concern me here. Could be some of those "other than Mexicans" that have been crossing the border down this way have got themselves organized; maybe in conjunction with the local drug dealers who could provide intelligence for money. The other is homegrown Tim Veigh types, either alone (2 or 3 persons) or as part of a homegrown milita group which may be in the area.

Compared to the amount of industrial explosives used every day, this is practically nothing.
