Stanley Tookie Williams executed Crips gang co-founder put to death for 4 murders

Tuesday, December 13, 2005; Posted: 3:38 a.m. EST (08:38 GMT)

SAN QUENTIN, California (CNN) -- Convicted killer and Crips gang co-founder Stanley Tookie Williams was executed early Tuesday at the California state prison at San Quentin.

The execution went ahead as scheduled after the U.S. Supreme Court late Monday rejected a last-ditch appeal.

The high court's ruling followed California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's decision to deny clemency for Williams, 51, who received a lethal injection at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday (3:01 a.m. ET).

May God have mercy on "Tookie's" soul, rest peacefully the souls of his many victims, and comfort the families left behind. There are no two ways about this~ the whole event is a huge tragedy.

It's only sold about 400 copies. More people have read your first post on Free Republic than Tookie Williams' book.

Mr. Stanley Williams' book was dedicated to several convicted police and correction officer murderers including Mumia and George Jackson. Just discussed on Michael Smerconish(?sp) radio show. This info is not disseminated by MSM.

Albert Owens, Yen-Yi Yang, Tsai-Shai Yang, Yee-Chen Lin.
These are the names of the victims.
God rest their souls.
This tookie killer does not deserve any kind of sympathy when he killed a couple and their daughter in such a brutal and senseless way.

[Quote] Barbara Becnel, the editor of Williams' books, pledged that his supporters would not give up their fight to prove Williams' innocence.

"We are going to prove his innocence, and when we do, we are going to show that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is, in fact, himself a cold blooded murderer," Becnel said.[Close quote]

Becnel's remarks show how easy it is for some of these people to confuse guilt and innocence. They don't really seem to comprehend the difference. That, by the way, is the definition of being legally insane. She's close to the line!

Now his supporters can look for the REAL killers. Maybe OJ can give her some tips on how you do that. (He seems to be looking mainly on the golf courses.)

I'm just unsettled by some people here and their attitudes that seem to be excessively celebratory in my opinion.

Agree completely with you -

And I know a thing or two about the need for death and justice -

I personally do not believe in the death penalty either, as I do not believe humans have the right to take the lives of other humans, however it is the law of the land and this man certainly did not deserve clemency from it any more than any other death row inmate. This man laughed about shooting an innocent man to death while he begged for his life-one does not "redeem himself" from something like that by writing a couple of books.

Incidentally it never fails to leave me incredulous that all of these hypocrite liberals singing and begging to spare the life of this violent animal are all for allowing a woman to shred an innocent baby to pieces for any reason whatsoever. Last night Alan Colmes said "Yes, I am pro-life but I'm also for a woman's right to choose". Blechh.

I don't think it's a matter of necessarily "celebrating" Tookie's death. It's more to do with the way the moonbats chose Tookie for their cause, and the idiocy they showed. That's what we are lampooning more than anything.

I sincerely hope Tookie made peace with God, and is in a better place, that's the Christian way to be. But he did deserve the punishment he got, and the moonbats should be ashamed of themselves.

This case was reviewed 20 times over the years and not one judge agreed with Mr. Williams lawyers that the case should be retried. Mr. Williams was reportedly involved in violence inside the prison, attacking guards and belonging to gang groups inside. He refused to admit his deed. Ho does a man who continues wht he did on the outside and refuse to show remorse believe that he deserves clemency ?

I don't want to sound racist, because i'M NOT, BUT WOULD Jackson or Sharpton or Hollyweird even be around if Mr. Willams weren't black?

Consider this,

We hold gun manufacturers responsible for people who are killed with firearms in this country. How about the fact the Mr. Willams was responsible for starting gangs that murdered, robbed, raped, and maimed people. Isn' he responsible for those deeds as well, at least partially, let alone the 4 murders.

Although I take no delight in Mr. Willaims's execution, perhaps this will send a solid message to gang members that we will not tolerate murder.
