Sad But So Beautiful - The Eagle Soars
12/12/2005 | OSTATE

As I am sure many of you have seen a group of protesers have been appearing at the services of those who gave the ultimate sacrafice in the Gulf. As an example of their protests the following picture will tell it all.

As a result a grassroots organization has been formed with two purposes:

The following pamplet will give you the full details.

http://pokefans.com/PGR/pgrpage.pdf

I live in Tulsa and last Thursday the services for SPC Jerry Mills were being held in Ark City, KS.

It was an extremely cold morning and I briefly consided riding up but better sense took affect and I decided to drive up.

Just as I was crossing the Kansas Line on Highway 77 my battery light came on and I looked down and the alternator wasn't putting out very much. I pulled into the first shop I could find on the road in Ark City and asked the guy if he could take a look at it. He was swamped and gave me the name of another place. We called and sure enough Ark City Tire could work me in. I went back to the car and it wouldn't start so the man from the first garage came out and jumped me and wouldn't charge me for the jump.

I made it about four blocks and the engine died. I took out in 15 degree winter walking to where I thought the garage was. I couldn't find it after walking about 7 or 8 blocks and a gentleman in a pickup came to a halt at a stop sign and I asked him and he told me and said "hop in I'll take you over there." I noticed he had a Purple Heart KS License Plate. Veterans are the best people on the planet.

Well the garage helps me get the car to their place and one of the mechanics takes me to the site of the services.

Well thank God the protestors didn't show so the police and PGR didn't have to worry about them. Someone said that the protestors had called the police about an hour before and informed them that they would not be there. That was fine everyone. I guess they were too much wussies for the cold. About what I'd expect of the cowardly MFers. Everyone is standing for a parade of USA Flags outside of the church waiting for the procession to form and leave for the cemetery and I hear Charley say "look up there."

Up above was one of the most moving things I have ever seen in my life. With all of the sadness over our fallen hero Jerry Mills a moment of joy interrupted the sorrow. High above circling the church as if to guard this fallen hero was

A beautiful bald eagle

The parade of American Flags presented arms as a salute as the procession left the church. RIP and thank God for men like SPC Jerry Mills.

Charley and Cindy took me back to Ark City Tire and I went to pay the bill for the new alternator and the owner tells me "the parts guy knocked $25 off of the alternator when I told him the reason you were up here." I also had a pamplet that Twisted had seen and approved so I gave that to the guys in the shop. They wanted to know if you had to be a veteran to ride with the PGR. I told them "no" and one has a new Harley on order so recruited another member.

The press focuses too much on the bad things so that we get to where we think the entire world is like they report just like they don't report the good things the guys and gals in Iraq or doing.

The thing I thought in the sadness of the loss of SPC Jerry Mills God showed me something very beautiful and poetic and showed me the goodness in human beings that we so often forget.

I took some pics I will send to Waldo as soon as I can get the battery recharged on the camera. I tried to take pics of the eagle but he was probably too far up there for my camera.

God bless all of our people in uniform.

They're not Baptists. They call themselves Baptists, but there's nothing Christian about them.

Nah, they just call themselves Baptists (I mean, I could call myself the Queen of Romania). They're mostly related to the "pastor", who is surprisingly a liberal Dem with AlGore connections.

Those are Calvinists. Not to be confused with Christians. They are a cult of in-breds.

As others have said, they just call themselves Baptists. They are not affiliated with ANY national church. Rev Phelps is to Christianity what Abe Foxman is to Jews.

I pray I never run into those scum. The hairs on the back of my neck are prickling at the thought of these creatures heckling the family of a fallen American GI. Despicable!

Just want everyone to be sure that they DO NOT represent the Baptists. They are a cult of one church where the overwhelming majority of members are related to Phelps. I red once that all 12 of his children are lawyers and they fiund their insanity by suing everyone under the sun for anything.
