Woman Who Beat Jehovah's Witness Gets Jail

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - A woman who used a butcher knife to beat a Jehovah's Witness who knocked on her door on Christmas Day was sentenced to three months in jail.

Cathy Infusino, 52, was also ordered Thursday to spend three months in a work program and serve three years of probation. She pleaded no contest to assault with a deadly weapon.

Infusino was paranoid and was being harassed by neighbors at the time of the attack, said her lawyer LeRue Grim.

"She wasn't mentally well enough to understand the situation," Grim said. "She thought someone was trying to harm her or hurt her."

The Jehovah's Witness had shown up at Infusino's apartment by mistake and was looking for a neighbor who was interested in the religion. She apologized for the error and tried to leave, but Infusino grabbed her by the hair and pulled her into the apartment.

Grim said Infusino is taking medication now and seeing a psychiatrist regularly.

I dunno I thought this was a clear case of Witness Intimidation.

Used the handle maybe?

You can also use the flat of the blade. But all in all one very weird story.

If you get on their "route" the best way to discourage them is to chalk an outline of a body (a la crime scene) near your front door.

Cute. And inside the outline, write in chalk "former Jehovah Witness".

In all seriousness DON'T!

That is considered a threat and you would find yourself in legal hot water very quickly.

"I hope you invited them in for coffee".

I might have, but when my daughter was born on Dec. 7, 1968, she had a reverse club foot. Not long after that, we did invite some of them in, and one of the ladies went to great lengths to warn me against allowing blood transfusions if surgery was needed. I asked her if she had kids, she said "no", and I told her she had no idea what I would do if my kid needed it, and hoped she would do the same for her kids, goodbye!
We were referred to Dr. Homer Paschal, at J. Hillis Miller Center in Gainsville, it took 10 months of therapy and casts, no surgery, and the foot got my kid through Fort Dix basic training 19 years later. The March of Dimes just handled it, no problems. Everything worked just like America is supposed to.
Didn't mean to rant, but I still wonder if the dimbletwit ever had any kids to love.

Just how old is this article or should I ask what time zone is she in where it's Christmas already?

I was pleased to hear the personal success story about your daughter. I'll never ever consider that a rant.
