The wife, myself and my 2 ½ year old daughter were in Florida for a week ..after scouting the C-USA and ACC football championship games we spent three days in Disney World for Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party and from a Christian point of view I must tell you how pleasantly surprised I was.
At all three parks we visited Magic Kingdom-MGM-Epcot, Christmas carols blared from the speaker- and many of them were religious hymns most of us will sing in church on Christmas Eve or the day itself Hark the Harrell Angels, What Child is this? and many more were heard so often I even pointed it out to my wife
Here was a real surprise on Monday we made our way through MGM- towards the popular thrill ride was set up they had a near life size nativity scene .like most churches the Christ child was not yet in the manger.
Anyway- thought Id pass that along.
Thanks for the post. It is very nice to hear good news once in a while. Kudos to the people at Disney World!
Good! We luv Disneyworld but usually avoid it during the busy holidays!
Hope you enjoyed the C-USA championship game! I wanted to see my Southern Miss Golden Eagles in it, but UCF put on a first class show from what I saw on TV!
Disney World has always gone all out for Christmas. I think it's my favorite time of year to go to the magic kingdom.
no...sorry...but it was very nice....
I don't buy their honesty, Mickey loves the moolah.
Tulane filling "bankruptcy" and the exodus of programs to the Big East, will the CUSA survive?
Maybe with the ousting of Eisner, Disney will get back on the family track.
"Hark the Herald Angels Sing" is even better.
GO TIGERS! (sorry...)
Nice to hear. Hope you had a good time.
My niece works there, and loves it! She costumes up as various of the female Disney characters.
I'm glad you had such an experience there, totally cool!
You haven't heard the Harrells. It's even better than the classic 70's song, "Ain't No Woman Like the One-Eyed Gott."
No, no. The Harrell angels are companions to Charlie's angels.
That's great news to hear!
I've been to Disney during the Christmas Holiday and Disney always outdoes itself! I love it there during Christmas.
ROFL!
The Black and Blue Bowl lived up to its name yet again! When we were down 21-3, I did not think we'd lose by 2...
Good luck in the Motor City!
I agree...it was fantastic!!! My daughter looked adorable as we dressed her in one of those red "santa" dresses with a hat to match.....she had so much fun she struggled to stay up through the entire party (which ended at midnight) and fought us when we tried to go back to the hotel...
While I wanted to catch it but could not they also have a 50-person candle light chorus in Epcot Center every night to sing Christmas carols.
