OTTAWA (CP) — Prime Minister Paul Martin will venture into violence-plagued Toronto Thursday and announce a sweeping ban on handguns, Canadian Press reports.

Martin is scheduled to visit Toronto's troubled Jane-Finch area to make a "safer communities announcement."

Liberal sources have confirmed the announcement includes a ban on handguns.

Comertin is my MP in Windsor-Tecumseh. He knows if he endoreses the handgun ban he will be punished. Wayne Fields who is cited in the article is from Lasalle, ON which is a suburb of Windsor (or suburb of Detroit more probably). He is on Free Dominion so you can personally chat with him there.

Seriously. For years the Liberals have concerned themselves almost exclusively with keeping Quebec in Canada (I mean apart from lining their pockets that is). And they failed to realize Quebec will NEVER leave Canada and the fat Canadian welfare teat. At the same time, their actions to keep Quebec have almost ensured they will lose the western provinces. And that's probably a good thing (certainly for the western provinces it is).

In other news we have banned aggressive interrogation, spent like drunken soldiers, pushing legislation to make illegal(criminal) aliens legal, murder unborn children daily, restrict industry, propose windfall taxes on corporations, fail to convict terrorist abettors, have a supreme court unwilling to strike down laws in violation of the second amendment, piss billions and billions down rat-hole socialist programs and pork...tax the living crap and penalize the succesful...send billions to third world $hitholes that gets co-op'ed by despotic tyrants...

And to top that off...the UN is still in business on our shores, and this so called conservative president has sent out his "Winter Holiday" cards...
