A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

The Christmas tree at Rockerfeller Center is usually between 75 and 90 feet tall, a Norway Spruce. Norway Spruce that grow in forests don't usually reach this size, so the Christmas tree is often from someone who donates it from their yard. Over five miles of lights are used to decorate the tree every year.
The famous lighting ceremony took place this year on on Wednesday, November 30th and will continue to shine through January 6, 2006.
The skating rink first opened in 1936. Ice Skating takes place in the evening at Rockerfeller Center, as the golden God Prometheus looks on just below the tree.
Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the world-famous Rockettes present stunning costumes, stage effects and perform remarkable precision tap routine. The Rockettes perform show favorites like the "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers" and the majestic "Living Nativity"

Yeah, a bunch of Happy Holidays displays would be pretty boring. Or a "Holiday Tree" in Rockefeller Plaza.

I was trying to find a good photo of the St. Patrick's Cathedral at Christmas. I wasn't lucky to find one that showed it's beauty. I watch midnight mass from St. Patrick's, every Christmas Eve on tv. :)

You'll have to show it to them in the morning. They'll think it's beautiful! Like we do!

Terrific presentation, Ms.USA (I don't feel comfortable using your first name). :)
The holly and ivy in the table looks really cool and I love how you failed to use "holiday".
Merry Christmas!!!
To: LUV W
I will. I think they will get a kick out of it. We haven't visited the city in a long time. We may go between Christmas and New Years. So this is fun to show my kids. :)
